The new "A Football Life" episode discussing the 1995 Cleveland Browns...I was only 20 and very much not paying attention to sports at the time. Man...Browns fans really got fucked over. That team was on the path to greatness....and the Belichik tree? Holy shit...I had no idea there were so many limbs. He's has to be the greatest NFL coach of all time.

I forgot this was on. Forgot to set the DVR. Didn't actually turn the tv on at all last night (debate boycott).

Those fans in Cleveland definitely got a raw deal when the late Art Modell moved that franchise to Baltimore to rename it as the Ravens. As for Bill Belichick, he was just another coach back then.

While Cleveland eventually got a new stadium and the Browns returned a few years later as an expansion team, I don't think this is what that fan base really had in mind. The current incarnation of the Browns is a faceless franchise.

There will be other opportunities to watch this episode of NFL Network's "A Football Life: Cleveland '95". I'd check the local listings and set the DVR accordingly.

I will when it re-airs. He wasn't the Super Bowl Champion coach that he's become over time in New England. That was my point.
