What is your favorite musical decade and which artists from that decade put it over the top for you?

Decades, schmecades. The 20th century is full of more musical achievements than any other. Yeah, even in classical.

If I could only listen to one it would be the 40s. Tommy Dorsey or Artie Shaw.

I like the late 90s stuff. Although if I was saying the best decade in terms of creative output it would probably be the 60s.

I'm a sucker for '80s music, especially the stuff that used to air on MTV when they actually played music videos instead of the junk they have now.

However, as I've gotten older, I've listened to a great deal of classic rock...Hendrix, Stones, Zeppelin, Bowie, AC/DC, Petty, classic Clapton...You name the band/artist, I'm listening.

Nirvana is terrible, no argument there, but man, I can come up with so many great albums from the '90s. No decade had so many different things going on at once. Yes, there was more shit, but that's because there was so much more content being produced. 90% of everything is shit. It might have gone up to 95, though.
