The west coast of Michigan is really nice to drive through - Sleeping Bear Dunes up near Traverse is one of my favorite places to visit.

I agree. Did an Alaskan cruise this summer. It was worth it.

Wisconsin is also on the list. Cape Cod is pretty awesome, but I haven't seen enough of Massachusetts to put it on the list.

There are a number of awesome areas in Cali - La Jolla, Malibu, Santa Barbara, Carmel/Monterey, San Fran, Napa. But you can keep LA.

Most small towns anywhere in the USA are shitholes. Anyone with any ability leaves ASAP. Exceptions would be places driven by tourism, universities, other?
