Cano is.

Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan
Robinson Cano is now 0 for his last 26. According to Elias, that is the longest hitless streak ever in a single postseason.

Least the fucking guy could do is run out grounders hard. Piece of shit.

Typical "modern" ballplayer.

He is still serviceable as a decent 3B if you expect .260 20 HRS 75 RBI's.

That's still one of the better third basemen in the game. I'd sure take it on the South side. The Yankees have to weigh how much of that money they're willing to eat. This is a guy who was never really embraced by the New York fans and this latest postseason failure may make continuing in pinstripes untenable.

Oh God if I hear "Whyyyy won't people go to Sox games? Jerry got you A-Rod!" once next spring, I'm defenestrating myself from a great, great height.

I agree. He still has value esp. given the dearth of quality third basemen. The Sox should step up and make a move there if the price in salary and players back to NY is negligible.

Shit, Barry could probably still hit 50 jacks over that joke of a right field fence in NY. I mean it's making Raul Ibanez look good.

Have you seen recent pics of Bonds? He's lost probably 70% of all that artifically produced muscle mass. He looks like a marathon runner now.

Why did Lynn stop throwing his curveball?? Hetythere's one as I'm typing this. May have wanted to mix one of those in the last 20 pitches or so.

Why would they put Lincecum in the game? Is he no longer a starter?

Is it his day for work in the bullpen anyways? I've seen that before in extreme circumstances but never for a Game 1.

I don't understand why he abandoned his curveball. He was a 1 pitch pitcher that entire inning of course he got his brains beatin in.

lipid, you happy with Matheny as manager?

I am continually surprised by the Cardinal fans I know down here that really do not care for him.

What, not enough five-pitcher 8th innings?

I'm thrilled thus far.

I seem to remember you saying you were hearing a lot of grumbling about LaRussa over the past couple years. I'd venture a guess to say it's many of the same people unhappy with Matheny, which is to say, some people will never be pleased...and are morons.

What did Beltran do to San Francisco fans? They are giving him the business every time he's at the plate.
