As long as we have someone else who is at your level that won't be a problem.

That said, I want this to be for people who play regularly, not guys who play once a year and think this will be fun. Not saying that you are in that latter group, just putting that out there.

We're talking 8-11 months from now...
I'm good from 140 yards and in. I just don't have any twisty hip/back motion to drive the ball. You might appreciate that...
T-Bone, Dr. Ken and Frank can back me up. (pun).
So, if it's a best ball...

Besides, if you want to play only with Ugie, Chus, and T-Bone just say so.

How often do you play? All I'm saying is that if you want to play in this you should be someone who appreciates the game and plays regularly. Not saying you have to be good. You can shoot a 110 and still play regularly. But, I don't want guys out there who are signing up like this is a bowling meetup. Golf isn't fun if you're out there with clowns who don't know what they are doing.

I'm trying to weed out the rif raf.

and just to clarify, by "regularly" I don't mean you have to play every weekend, just enough where you get some feel for your game. I would think at least a couple times a month unless you're one of those guys who plays once a year and goes out there and throws up a 77 in which case I have two things to say to you....#1, the rules don't apply to you and #2, what up partner!

Any other "qualifiers"?

I bet we have more than that. And if we come up a few short we can always go offsite and bring in a few friends. I'm sure we all got a buddy or two who would love to do something like this for a weekend.

I'm in

I got the intensity of Keegan Bradley, the pants of Ian Poulter and the standards of Eldrick Woods.

We might have trouble fielding a team. It would be you and I vs. everybody else.

There's no reason why anyone couldn't play in this thing, regardless of their skill level. Just use golf handicap indexes and all is solved. Everyone will get shots per hole based on their handicap index.

Makes it much more fair.

NO U!

Seriously, it makes things much more even-keel. And it is simple as hell to figure out. Just dots on a scorecard.

I am not figuring out my handicap

On a great day I'm high 80's, good day low 90's, just an OK day mid 90's, bad day 100+

If you shoot 90 on average (give or take a few strokes) you're likely a 20 handicap. Meaning, you get a shot on every hole plus one additional on each of the two hardest holes on the scorecard.

Are practice rounds at PGA events usually free for the public?

Do you have to be a regular burrito or can you just be a once-a-year-type burrito who is really good at it and can just go out and nail it?

For kids yes, usually there is a fee for adults.

I will vouch for Doug as a good man on the golf course. Rub his head for luck when you can't putt.
