We all pretty much agree that Mitch is a scared boss that doesn't like confrontation. This move also served as a passive aggressive message to the rest of his boys. The backups and/or producers. I think drinky will be better behaved after this episode. The other backups were never really a problem, but if they do gain some mild success at the station they now realize that they can't go wild. It's no longer acceptable.

Mitch and Zim just got some control over the station. It had been lacking for some time.

LOL DEWD.... you're SO mitch. this is like your "top secret" pressure release.... you come here and paint these pictures of "conspiracies" that most dismiss but those who stop and think about it go "hey, this makes sense" and like... basically, this is your way of rewarding your most loyal and hardcore fans, you know, the people who have turned listening to your station's programming as a daily ritual/event that's worthy of congregating to talk about while they're going on, almost like a sporting event in and of itself.....

so while you have to toss out some disinformation and wild fringey stuff to make sure that nobody "sane" would ever suspect you to be who you are, you do this only because it provides you with a buffer of plausible deniability to surround your nuggets of 100% spot-on truth/iness with.... and we TRUE BD BELIEVERS get the "straight dope" as to what's going on with our favorite radio station.

thanks for doing what you do, bear-dizzle-fa-rizzle-my-nizzle.... you're always provocative and usually spot on if you're clever enough to see what you're getting at. * tips cap to you *

If you think about it, the winds of change had already been taking place at the Score before Goff left. Drinky and Goff were out as the main backups.

Who are the main backups now? Finfer, Randazzo and McNight. What do these three have in common? Safe, boring, non hostile, Zimmerman-fearing boys. They're "go along to get along" types. Just happy to get bites of the apple. None of them are ever gonna cause trouble. A stark contrast to drinky and Goff who were always looking for trouble and fights.

I guess Ostrowski has an angry edge. But not towords the station or Score people. His thing is to constantly bitch, cry and whine about sports and his life.

Not really. Leery is the #1 fill-in for B&B, followed by Rozner and Rosenbloom. Finji is the designated midday guy, and M&H use David Haugh, Rozner, and various other people.

I was talking about the full time Score people that serve as the main backup hosts now - late nights and weekends.

Mully and Hanley want nothing to do with Score people when it comes to their show. Rozner and Rosie are Bernstein's guys cuz they aren't Christians. Finji is Mac's guy cuz he's been his loyal soldier (Some here have said "loyal bitch".) Mitch has Larry do Bernstein's show during the baseball season cuz he really has nothing to do for 6 months. Half hour shows are basically nothing. They're paying him. So they have to use him somehow.

Yes. Really. Why the hell not, Rocko? You weren't here for the "Mac vs. Goff" war. It was weird, ugly and mean. It was embarrasing for the station and it was only gonna get worse.

By the way, have you ever confronted Larry for his bad mouthing of you? I know you want to take the high road, but sometimes the low road is the only way to protect your good name.

After reading some blogs and message board comments about this Atlanta station, this operation seems kind of icky. A lot of people are saying they are trying to do an "Urban Sports talker". Heavy on basketball and football talk. They've hired mostly black people for their talent. That's kind of racist and should offend Goff's sensibilities. Sports transcends race. There is no such thing as Urban sports talk. Not to mention the fact that they've hired a couple of white strippers for the morning and afternoon show. Bernstein taught Goff to hate this sort of thing. They used to mock North for trying to make Jen Jen his little sports talking tart.

Some people have said that CBS put this thing together quick and it's only temporary. They just wanted to put their flag down in the Atlanta market. That this station will eventually have the CBS Sports Radio national line up.

In the meantime, the PD of this Atlanta station is a racist. No doubt in my mind. Looks like he's trying to push all of the bullshit stereotypes of black people cuz he thinks it will appeal to a nitch black audience. I for one am disgusted.

I'm thinking Keeping Score actually did get on a giant sheep/unicorn hybrid and took it all the way to Coco Bongo.

I assume this radio station reaches all of Fulton County. Fulton County is Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs. According to this website, Fulton County is 47% white and 44% black.

http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/13/13121.html

So what? The percentage doesn't matter. My point is there is no such thing as "Black sports talk". It's racist to think that there is such a thing. This is 2012 for the love of god. The fact that this station hired 2 white hookers because they think it appeals to black people is shameful.

Counties in Georgia are postage stamps and statistically useless. Metro Atlanta covers 28 of them.

Anyway, the whole metro is one-third black, which is significant. I think the city of Chicago alone is one-third, but Chicagoland as a whole would surely be much lower. So maybe there is a market for "urban sports talk" in Atlanta that there isn't elsewhere, though I will note that "urban" as a codeword for "black" makes my skin crawl.

EDIT: For whatever it's worth, Atlanta did have 2 Live Stews, which was black guys talking sports, but I don't know if it was necessarily particularly aimed toward black listeners.
