Ok dude. Come down off the ledge a little bit.

The show is fine. Some of the stuff they have done has been better than the story in the comic. The evolution of Shane was incredibly well done this season, and his character on the show was 100 times better than the Shane we saw in the comic. The payoff might not have been as good, but his dark side this whole season meant for some good TV. Put the pipe down a bit and just enjoy what this season has been.

1) Are we to assume that Rick already knows that everyone turns into a zombie after dying (the Jenner whisper)?

2) If everyone is already infected, then was there ever a 'Patient 0'? Does that even make sense to have an initial patient who started the infection? I assume the pathogen is airborne or something...

Agreed. If he knew that everyone who dies comes back as a zombie, he probably wouldn't turn his back on Shane's corpse.

As a big comic book follower I wasn't taken aback by the whole Carl shooting Zombie Shane instead of Alive Shane.

My main problem with the show is the piss-poor writing.

I have been spoiled all year by the Baldmove Walking Dead podcast. I'll probably skip the spoilers this week as I'm curious how things turn out w/ the Zombie horde.

I have a crazy theory on the helicoptor. Its a theory I've had for a long time. First off, I'm guessing a helicoptor will crash near the prison at some point this season and Rick and a few others will go investigate and it will play out just like it does in the comics where they end up finding Woodbury and the governor because of it.

My theory is this...the helicoptor is a clever easter egg paying homage to the old Living Dead movies. I remember one of those movies took place in a big city (might've been Atlanta), inside a skyscraper office of a news channel. At the end 2 people escape via a helicoptor, a woman and a man. That's how the movie ends.

In the comics, when they get to Woodbury, the governor tells the story of what happened to the people in the helicoptor...a man and a woman and how he chopped them up and fed them to the zombies.

So basically I think the helicoptor is a little wink from Kirkman to the old zombie movies and he's saying that its the same helicoptor as the one from the movie.

I'm most likely wrong, but I thought it was an interesting possibility.

In the comic, I believe it is a news helicopter that runs out of gas and crashes.

Kirkland (who helped write the finale), and also wrote the pilot wouldn't throw in the helicopter for no reason. It was kind of a reminder of what we saw in the pilot. So i'm expecting it to return.

The huge plot hole that the show will have is why is the Helicopter even around? What's up with all the joyriding? In the comic it made plausible sense. They were in ATL, escaping hte city and crashed.

If I had a helicopter with a finite amount of fuel, I'm only taking that out when I have a one-way destination worked-out.

To answer Dbag's question from the other thread, the person spying on Carol at the end of the episode was the remaining white prisoner, don't know his name. He said he was in prison for drugs, but he's really a serial killer/rapist. In the book he murders Herschel's two small children and then tries to murder Andrea before getting caught and killed by the group. My guess is on the show he will be murdering Beth.

Ok but what about the only other prisoner who survived? Does he integrate with the group, fade out, or what? Wouldn't he tell Rick or the group about the crazy white guy?

There were 4 prisoners in the comic book I think. One was the pervert who we just talked about. One was an older white guy named Axel who ended up being a productive member of the group until he was killed in the big prison shootout with the governor. The other two were a big black guy and his little black guy lover who I think was named Andrew. Rick ends up shooting the big black guy in the head during the shootout because the big black guy had a similar role to the mexican guy who Rick killed last night. After killing the big black guy, Andrew took off and ran from the prison, no idea what ended up happening to him.

So, no real way to say what the other surviving prisoner will do, will he be like Axel or will he be another trouble maker who Rick has to take care or? Or maybe he'll turn out to be Tyrone, a great character from the book who has disappeared from the tv show so far?

I rewatched last week's ep and noticed that the person watchign Carol appeared to be in the woods outside the prison. In light of the producers confirming they will not do the serial killer ep I have no clue who the person watching Carol is.



I'm really curious to see just how fucked up the make the Governor. It doesn't look like they will be having the gladiator fights like they did in the comics. Glad they included the fish bowl zombie heads. But, the real question is, will his daughter be making an appearance? I gotta believe they can't leave that out and a big part of the reason he has Milton doing all this research is cause he is looking for a cure for his daughter.

I just hope they don't wuss out on the rape/torture of Michonne as well as what she ends up doing to him in the end.

I really doubt they will cut Rick's hand off even though it seems like the perfect storyline for Merle to get revenge on Rick.
