I loved that ESPN was doing the obligatory "Cutler Bad Body Language" piece and going to the analysts to talk about how he never smiles, then they cutaway to him warming and laughing/smiling then they quickly cut away from it.

He was just sticking it to them.

Reilly also had the awkward segue of "even though Jay Cutler doesn't smile, he does have a heart. In fact, he paid for a murder victim's family to ride to the game in a limo and come onto the field." So..... there's that, too.

Yeah, they obviously got some unfortunate news prior to airing their prepared piece that Jay was a pretty good guy so they quickly mentioned that.

The late game touchdown was bullshit, but doesn't take away from a defensive win. The pressure on Cutler derailed a quality start, the rib injury fucked w/ his throwing motion, blah blah - doesn't matter, the defense didn't let Stafford do jack shit and fought tooth and nail for this one. Too bad they couldn't earn the shutout.

Can we officially put to rest any idea that Cutler isn't tough?

The season flashed before our eyes when he was down on the field. Okay any chances to go anywhere. I think if he missed a couple of games Jason Campbell actually could win a game or two. But not in January.

I should say I've never seen the air go out of a building the way it did when Cutler went down. It was kind of like when Rose went down with the Bulls.

If ever a collective Oh Shit went out in the history of the world it went out last night.

I wonder if the Bears had built up any kind of lead he would have been pulled very early as a precaution?

So everyone is happy with the Bears offense putting up a whopping 13 points coming off the bye week? thought Lovie said that was a chance to get all the kinks worked out with all that extra time and game planning.

I think things changed after the injury to Cutler. It was a clunker of a second half.

If it remains that way going forward, then I'll be worried.

I think it's fine. He threw a ball shortly after his injury that was about 4 feet short of his target, but he later completed a pass to Bennett that had great placement and a hell of a lot of zip.

The offense failing to put up points had a lot to do with stupid penalties and uncertainty in the playcalling because of Cutler. I don't think the offense is fine by any means, but I'm not too worried about it.

They won. If they put up 9, they would have won. They should have had more points in the first half, but Cutler clearly wasn't 100% for most of the game.

They ran the ball, controlled the clock, and protected the football, and took the football away. If they do that every game they are going to win 12 or 13 games this season.

The worst part of the offense all game was #1 Carimi, and #2 the bullshit calls of 3 straight passes when it was 1st & Goal at the 3 yard line.

When I heard Gruden inform us that Peppers has a "PhD in Bears defense...." I knew we would all be A-Ok.

Had they doubled the points in the 2nd half...it would be a moot point. The 2nd half was clearly: run the ball, eat clock, don't get Jay killed.

I actually laughed at a text M&H read: Gotta give the Lions credit, they were able to keep Briggs and Tillman out of the endzone.

That defense is really damn good. I don't know what else to say.
