A couple of good guesses. All I've heard is that it's a favorite guest. David Feherty?

Can't get enough dictionary chatter on a sportz bored. I believe the Zipmeister got this one. McCracken may be around later to back you up. I don't expect you will find the experience enjoyable.

Why have I been taught not to throw around "anticipate" to mean "look forward to"?

It may technically be correct, but I don't care for that usage either.

  Feherty would be good, but wrong time of year.

Still on a hoops kick. If they could snag Wojo, that could be decent. A great get would be Jerry Sloan.

I doubt they even know who he is, but David Thorpe knows more about NBA basketball than pretty much anyone in the world. They should give him a call.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I'm SomeGuying it so far today.

Well, both have been on this program many times. Aggrey Sam's actually co-hosting with Connor McKnight Saturday night on The SCORE...

Oh no, we're talking about "interesting" athletes. We're mere moments away from Dan telling us about the complicated genius who was the backup center for the Bullfrogs.

Hmmm...Could this new expert be...Dennis McKinnon? He's another guy who's been on this program many times. Also, could it be "MLB on FOX" analyst Eric Karros, considered in the running to replace Bob Brenly as Len Kasper's new TV analyst on Cubs' broadcasts?

Dan seems really naive when it comes to PED's.

Nonsense! "Second Hand News" should return to this program though. Okay! Rodie time and then the big announcement...after the break. Take that, Seacrest!

Can't listen right now, but let me take a stab at it:

Interesting
Ozzie Guillen
Jay Cutler
Anyone who has ever coached basketball at any level
Anyone who has ever played basketball at any level and is not white
Ozzie Guillen
Any NFL player who has ever committed a crime
Ozzie Guillen
Matt Bowen
Ozzie Guillen
Ozzie Guillen

Not Interesting
All members of the 1985 Bears, with the possible exception of Dan Hampton
Anyone who has ever played for the Cubs
Anyone who has ever played for the Blackhawks
College athletes

The "83" drop is surprisingly versatile. Also,

"What is Bill Melton's nickname?"
"Uhh...Billy."

is just hilarious. That's like the spiritual successor to the old Family Feud Q&A "In which month does a woman start to look pregnant?" "September"

There's more where that came from. "Gas Money", the Comcast SportsNet game show starring Luke Stuckmeyer & the Shannon Elizabeth/Jennifer Love Hewitt-looking Susannah Collins, is supposed to tape where the "Bud Light 'Who Needs Two?' Tavern Tour" will originate tomorrow at 115 Bourbon Street in Merrionette Park.

He just said that if you cover sports for a long time, you find a lot of really interesting athletes. I don't know. Aren't even minor-league athletes usually like the best athletes in the histories of their respective hometowns? Most of the star athletes I knew in high school were just stupid dickweeds, and they didn't even have the monastic, at-the-expense-of-all-else devotion to their sports that you'd need to become a professional.

EDIT: Actually, he did say that everyone on the '85 Bears was a stupid jackass, especially Steve McMichael and Jim McMahon. Walter Payton was interesting, but people got mad that a book was written about it.

Yes Doug, it is also fortunate that Mr. Sandoval's mom decided to carry him to term. Without that those three home runs last night wouldn't have been possible.
