TM,

Glads to see you had a minute to put the dictionary down for some self pity. Resume your reading and personal attacks now.

Your witlessness is even less interesting than your shamelessness.

Well then he must have had more readers than just himself if Mikey had him on.

And TM needs some love. He's feeling bullied today.

And I think he sounds more and more like a member of the communications department at Loyola.

Actually, since Rooney is a better troll than you are, you should take credit for that identity, especially since he seems to have left the board.

I see your point because he lives in Rogers Park.

At the same time he had a quick and impassioned defense of JCs. He said that he writes what sounded like recommendation letters to 4 year institutions for people with a middling grasp of the English language. None of his dinning reviews indicate that he spends much time in the suburbs so throw out COD and Triton. I have never heard him speak about traffic all that much and a trip from Rogers Park to Wright would drive a person to rant. That would mean he takes public transportation, which would likely mean Harold Washington College.

I don't know what kind of departments they have in JCs but he is certainly on the liberal arts side of the school. At first blush it might appear that he is in the English department with a concentration in late 20th C American works. However, I think he leans more to the political science end of the spectrum. He does not have much of an interest in the mechanics of politics, but more of the theories. He seems to concentrate on mid 20th C theories.

However, if he is at a city of chicago JC, that is probably not his only job. His commentaries on books don't have the off the cuff characteristics of internet chatter. I think they have been previously written. I also think they have been paid for. A book reviewer can bring in some nice walking around money for a man with a thought and some time.

No its not the Rogers Park thing at all.

It's more along the lines of the social and political philosophies that he quotes that leads me to believe that he is from LU and Communications department more specifically.

However he did quote Socrates back to me earlier today, so I am rubbing off in a positive way and there is still hope.

GD I know that you have said that you are Catholic. So you are in charge of a novena for TM.

Funny stuff, dolphin. Apparently you read this board closer than I would've thought and have the reasoning skills and tenacity of a logical bloodhound! While your conclusions are, admittedly, perfectly rational, they are, however, also incorrect.

I like junior colleges because they represent a repressed impulse for social egaliatarianism, one that seems to get buried deeper with each passing year, not because I am formally affiliated with one. If I'm not working at home, I get to my job via car, bicycle or a kind of transportation that at first glance may appear public, but is not.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying about recommendations. My letters are frequently written for semi-literates who are not widely recognized as such--except, perhaps, by those whose opinions may be most relevant.

My interests and work are diverse and protean, spanning different eras and areas of inquiry.

I haven't reviewed any of the books I've mentioned here in other forums.

But that's enough about me....What about you?

good dolphin: white male (despite rumors to the contrary), early 30s, "husky" build, married with two or three kids, works with his brother in the legal aspects of real estate development, and lives in Sauganash. May have attended Loyola University or Loras College for his undergraduate degree and has some form of advanced degree, possibly in business administration. The humdrum nature of his everyday life has forced his unconscious to revolt against his waking mind. Has also posted here under the name AFakaPB.

What else do we know about the good dolphin? Additions or revisions?

An odd statement.

Do you have a personal horse and carriage? Rickshaw?

Are you a bus driver?

The statement is intentionally odd. It is a hint.

I am not a bus driver and own neither a horse and carriage nor a rickshaw.

I do not have enough size in my stable for a horse.
