Am I the only one concerned about the Bears offense? How many games can they expect the defense to play at this level? I know winning cures all but the lack of production scares me. They should have scored 40 on the Lions on Monday.

Kellen Davis sucks this needs a good or at least a decent tight end..should have grabbed Winslow....and The offense is cause for concern...The texans and niners games will tell me all I need to know about this team.

Enough already with the Kellen Davis experiment. Stop throwing the ball to him.

Not so much a choice as a lack of options. What's stupid is that they drafted Rodriguez to add a receiving element at tight end, and yet they have him at sort-of-fullback.

The reason Cutler keeps forcing passes to Davis is because he's open. Teams don't respect him, and justifiably so, as he drops 75% of shit thrown his way.

If they could only get a quality TE they would go from one of the worst offenses in the NFL to one of the best overnight.

I'd like to see them put up more points obviously, but what they did Monday is;
-Protect the football (zero turnovers)
-Run the football (170+ rushing yards)
-Control the time of possession (33 or 34min I think)

If they do that all the time, they are going to win 12 or 13 games this season at least. If they can do that they may only need to score 17-24 points a game. With that defense that should be more than enough to beat all but 2 or 3 teams in the NFL.

The pendulum has swung to the other extreme in Chicago. Jay Cutler is bulletproof. Criticism of him is met with a list of reasons rationalizing his bad play longer than the list White Sox attendance excuses.

QB Rating: 78.3 (25th)
Completion %: 56.7% (28th)
Yards/Attempt: 7.27 (18th)
Yards/Game: 227 (24th)
INT: 7 (8th)
Sacks: 19 (4th)
TDs: 8 (18th)

Though I see many have pinpointed the cause of his horrible completion percentage to Kellen Davis drops. Benching him should raise that figure 10%.

Joking aside, his interception figure is skewed by the Packers game so at least he's taking care of the ball. But the accuracy figure is the root of Cutler's problem. Blame could be given to the o-line. But given his 60.8% career rate he's just not accurate.

I hope they can use the next few games to fine tune this part of the team. Yes, it is the NFL and you have to show
up every week but their schedule gets brutal in mid November and they are going to have to have some confidence
and flow to this. They have also had a strange schedule early on with Thursday and Monday night games which
may have a little to do with things although I can't really make a solid case for that.

Not that worried. #6 almost was torn in two and couldn't put much on the ball and I'm sure was in a lot of pain for most of the game. No excuse for not having Bush punch it in after the turnover, but the offense is still a work in process. Carmi needs to get his shit straight and I like the addition of Chilo Rachal at LG. Maybe he can help J'Marcus not be a turd.

San Fran and Seattle are in the same division and played to the same score I believe, which goes to show the difficulty in playing another team from same division regardless of record.

Every other QB in this town who has "just won games" but hasn't put up good numbers has been labeled a game manager and a major question mark going forward.

The fact that Cutler will want to be paid more than Ryan Fitzpatrick and Kevin Kolb, and closer to the top QB's in the league should terrify Bears fans going forward that they have to choose between overpaying greatly at QB or starting over.

I would be thrilled if when the Bears get the ball on first and goal from the 3 they would just pound it in with Bush...giggity but still that is why you are paying him. Tice seems to get too cute and want to throw fades to the back of the end zone and the Bears just aren't great at executing that play. Also a real tight end would be super. And JMarcus Webb is still terryfing.

I started a thread about this a little while ago. Pretty much every Bear fan said pay that man his money.

On the Jay Cutler Show (which Larry still doesn't think exists) Cutler said it was his call to throw the passes. He said Tice called in 2 plays, a run and a pass. When Jay got under center and saw the defense, he said that the runs wouldn't have worked. He said the plays were there, but he didn't make the throws.

I was pissed as hell at Tice too when it happened, but seems more like lack of execution on the QB's part than anything else for those 3 plays.

Fair enough on Cutler audibling out of the run then. But the plays he audibled to sucked Lady Gaga's monster penis.

17 points at home against the 20th best scoring defense.

Jay Cutler:
Comp/Att: 19/28
Yards: 186
TDs: 1
Int: 1

Another great showing for the elite franchise QB. The diva has gotten everything he wants and it's still not enough.

I guess Jay didn't ask for offensive tackles. Webb and Carimi are turnstiles on pass protection.

What about tight ends who can block (they make Olson look an All-Pro), stay on their feet on pass routes (Davis) and catch passes thrown directly into their hands (Spaeth).

Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 7 times more but that somehow hasn't stopped him from completing 70 % of his passes , throwing for 19 td's while throwing 4 picks and having a 109 qb rating.

It is if the Kid Cairo trademarked narrative is that poor Jay sucks because his line sucks and is under pressure all the time. Rodgers has eaten more turf than Jay and is still shredding secondary's.

To be fair he has had better guys on offense than Jay has the past three years. But yeah, even Cutler would probably admit Rodgers is MUCH better than he is.

Just talking this year FF, Rodgers has zero running game, Bears have the newly minted Matt Forte, who is a what, a top 5 back in the league ?? huge advantage to the Bears passing game because of that. Greg Jennings has sucked and is hurt this year, we have OMG Brandon Marshall who is better than anyone the Packers have catching the ball. Except for maybe 1 or 2 games, the Bears offense has sucked all fucking year and Frankly, they are running out of excuses except maybe the one few people want to say, that maybe this guy the Bears have chucking the ball is closer to just being another guy than he is to being a top 10 qb.
