Dan: You're dumb.
Caller: You're dumb.
Dan: You're dumb!

I don't disagree with much of anything Dan has said and I don't think too many people do, but it seems like he's just hoping to get a caller or two to disagree with him so he can throw a fit.

Terry is adding a lot to the discussion, though.

Yeah, you can tell when you get the callers who are like

"Yeah I just wanted to say that this is a bunch of crap and these guys should be ashamed of themselves. I know marathons don't have refunds but that's not an excuse."
"OKAY. AND? YEAH."

I mean, no one is gonna call the Score and sit on hold to deliver some well-composed analysis of the situation. Do you want people to agree with something self-evident or not?

god, I hate shows like this one today. Take a stand on something, talk in a serious voice while Terry says "yep", and bait callers and yell. Unfortunately, they are becoming more frequent.

I agree with everything -- what's particularly galling is Bloomberg saying we need to show the world we can recover...by diverting critical resources from recovery efforts? -- but just UGH what a fucking downer today is.

Who are all these people that don't have water? Shelters have been setup, the Red Cross and other organizations are all over the place. Search crews are out looking for people, but I doubt those crews are going to be working the marathon. Electricity is scheduled to be back up by tonight for lower Manhattan.

So, by Sunday, there will basically be a bunch of damaged homes and people staying with relatives or in shelters regardless of whether or not they run the marathon. Not every city shuts down for 12 months because of a disaster.

Franky, I'm not sure Monday's the day either. These 2 goofs will tell us if the Bears "are in a Better State" on "State Farm Bears' Monday" following Sunday's roadie in Tennessee.

Does anyone know of someone in New York that I could call? Bernstein told me to.

Gave it an hour. I agree with their argument and the show hasn't been bad. But I'm in a good mood this Friday so not really feeling a outraged Dan and parrot Terry show. So pass on the rest of Dan's audition tape for a CBS national gig.

I honestly don't understand who in New York doesn't have water. I mean, I'm lucky to be where I am and avoid the major damage, but water is not a problem here. There is a gas shortage, but from everything I understand, running a marathon doesn't use much gas.

Rick, based on what I saw on the news this morning, there are still long lines for cars that need fuel. It has nothing to do with running a marathon.

By the way, Sandy could only be the beginning. WGN's Tom Skilling has Tweeted that forecast models have a Nor'Easter that could be next to pummel the Mid-Atlantic after Tuesday's Presidential Election.

Why is David Hochberg so angry at everyone all the time? Why does he think this is a good way to promote himself?

So, we could have 400 homes with power? Oh my god! What will the mythical 400 homes do without power for 6 hours that they wouldn't have gotten anyways because who is using generators like that to power homes!

Based on what I saw yesterday in person, this is true.

"Dan Patrick Show" producer Paul Pabst has tweeted that there are 100 cars in line for gas...backed up on to parkway. It's not just New York & New Jersey where Sandy has become an inconvenience...

Might the NYC Marathon be cancelled after all? According to Fangsbites.com's Twitter, FOX Business reports that traders at the NYSE are hearing that the NYC Marathon will be cancelled.
