It isn't an act. He is like that even when he is not on show.

Have you checked Zack Zaidman's Twitter to see if he has anything on this?

Wha? The New York way of doing things is tell eveyone how much tougher they are than everyone else for surviving and how the bad thing that happened was epically worse than any bad thing that happened anywhere else...then continue to tell the story for the next decade.

Negative. Charles Gasparino from FOX Business is among those on Twitter now reporting that the NYC Marathon will indeed be cancelled.

I don't hate "Go Cubs Go" like SOME people do. However, Production Whiz Russ Mitera is committing a cardinal sin by using as his bed a loop of

Go Cubs Go
Go Cubs Go
Hey Chicago, whaddya say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

to speak over, as it plays over. and over. and over. and over. and over. Don't use words in a bed if you can help it! Come on, man, you've been doing this for years!

How long until they get a caller (maybe a texter -- easier for Dan to lie about) thanking them for all the hard work they did on this story?

I agree. Thinking 9/11 was a big deal is wrong. Still referencing a fire from 140 years ago is just fine though.

Texted this just now:

Taking shots at runners when you were sucking them off to join your Chicago marathon group last month. WYC, Dan?

I'm starting to see Dan's point about the importance of Twitter. Never before have we been subject to so much misinformation so quickly.

There is a pro sports team in town with that name, and a television show was created with that name, and growing up in the Chicago suburbs I probably knew more about that then Vietnam or the Korean War.

A former guest on this program, ESPN/ABC's Darren Rovell, has tweeted that the Heat's Dwyane Wade will donate tonight's game check from the Heat/Knicks' game to Sandy victims. Also, FOX Business Network's Charles Gasparino is Tweeting that the NYC Marathon has indeed been cancelled.

I can't wait to see the house fully rebuilt on Sunday at about 2pm if the marathon is cancelled.

Does the marathon go through the Bronx, because it should have never been held there while it was going through its degentrification over the past 50 years.

In the scope of any conversation I've seen on this board, I've never seen a mention of the Chicago Fire... the event, not the TV show or the sports team or energy drink, etc...

Bernsy says that the start of the race begins at Staten Island, which "is all but gone..." That photo from ESPN/ABC News' Darren Rovell's Twitter was numb to say the least.

"I dont think people understand how dense the population is in Brooklyn". Yes Dan, none of us are nearly cultured enough to venture and discuss this mysterious borough. And it'd be the 4th largest city, not the 3rd. Is he forgetting Chicago or LA?

Dan is obviously agitated over the amount of craps directed at him yesterday

That never happens. Women had heretofore gotten kid gloves.

I kinda get her point. If you're stationing police/paramedics at the Meadowlands when they could be somewhere more productive, you're not allocating resources as well as you should be, but at the same time, it's not quite the same. I think she was trying to get Dan to say it's okay because he likes football, but he didn't think that, soooo...

What are you arguing? It's that Chicago fire is not a major part of Chicago history/folklore?

The lady had a problem with the Steelers/Giants' game that'll still go on at MetLife Stadium as scheduled Sunday.
