That never happens. Women had heretofore gotten kid gloves.

I kinda get her point. If you're stationing police/paramedics at the Meadowlands when they could be somewhere more productive, you're not allocating resources as well as you should be, but at the same time, it's not quite the same. I think she was trying to get Dan to say it's okay because he likes football, but he didn't think that, soooo...

The lady had a problem with the Steelers/Giants' game that'll still go on at MetLife Stadium as scheduled Sunday.

The lady also used a phone to contact Boers & Bernstein.

Sounds like people may be spending the night at my place tonight! Hopefully they cancel this marathon and then they can bring those generators to their house!

GET YOUR GUNS. IT'S KATRINAII.

Why do people live there anyway? People should live somewhere safer. As a taxpayer am I paying to help clean up so people willingly live in an unsafe area?

Who ever mentions that?!?
There is a pro sports team in town with that name, and a television show was created with that name, and growing up in the Chicago suburbs I probably knew more about that then Vietnam or the Korean War.

In the scope of any conversation I've seen on this board, I've never seen a mention of the Chicago Fire... the event, not the TV show or the sports team or energy drink, etc...
What are you arguing? It's that Chicago fire is not a major part of Chicago history/folklore?

I'm not arguing. I thought it was interesting that you brought that up in rebuttal to some 9/11 marginalizing rhetoric...

The only thing worse than a Gottlieb sports minute is a recycled from the previous hour Gottlieb sports minute.

Obama will not be calling Bloomberg to change his mind on the marathon. Bloomberg just plugged him for president. no pun intended.

Good: Why don't those people just move out of Englewood?
Bad: Why don't those people just leave Staten Island?

Bernsy has just tweeted a link to EW.com. A "Sons of Anarchy" star tells a really bleak picture about Sandy's aftermath being worse than the media has portrayed it. Actor Theo Rossi tells the story here:

True: New Orleans is a cess pool of humanity in an unsafe area. Don't rebuild
False: The Atlantic seaboard is a rich elitist jagoffs in an unsafe area. Don't rebuild

Three days in and the stories are gonna be pretty similar. Tragedy is tragedy. Wish some folks would look at some of these things with a little more empathy for those affected. It ain't fun wherever you happen to be.

Conor McDoink breathlessly breaking in with the news per the LA Times that the marathon would be cancelled; Bernstein vowing to stay on the story. Are they really surprised that this would happen? Only a matter of time before the PR backlash cancelled it. C'mon now.

I think it's the right call, regardless if it's Connor McKnight, the L.A. Times' Mike Memoli, FOX Business' Charles Gasparino, whoever...

Hell, did anyone hear WFAN's Mike Francesa bitch & moan about this coming back from that last break?

Wow.

BernSTINE should get an award for his tireless efforts to expose the real story behind the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, NYC Marathon and Michael Bloomberg.

Without his heroic effort who knows what might have transpired....

While BTN's Ben Stein-looking Gerry DiNardo is now on the Home Run Inn Pizza Hotline with Terry & Dan B., CNN's Peter Shankman is now Tweeting that New York City officials are meeting to discuss possible cancellation of the NYC Marathon.

I think DiNardo looks more like Sandusky than Stein.

Put glasses on DiNardo, and I'm convinced he's Ben Stein...

By the way, Reuters now reports that the NYC Marathon will be cancelled.

Pretty much implying that Good King Barack came down from on high to benevolently force Bloomberg to cancel it.

Wow. B&B just saved New York like Drew Breesus saved New Orleans? Can a tearful reading of an email from Bernstein be far behind about some alliance between Quad Cities Pat and Brooklyn Joe?
