Really? Can't see em losing a game ..Stanford/OK was the toughest part..it is all downhill from now...if LSU takes out bama ..ND is a lock for the title game.

About what? USC has talent on offense but their defense is horrible. I think this plays into ND strengths and they will roll. Pitt, BC and WF really do not even present upset opportunities.

I just don't trust them...and stranger things have happened. If they are undefeated going into the USC game I may feel a little more secure.

Are you having visions of 1993? I said it earlier about Pitt being a trap game because I'm reminded of the BC in 1993. When ND beat FSU, it seemed like a forgone conclusion ND would win the title. And then they didn't.

If they beat Pitt, I'll relax a little. I also think Brian Kelly has the right mindset and it's obvious the players have bought into it.

I don't remember you acting like a fan before. Maybe you did.

I thought you were a NIU fan.

I thought you paid way more attention to me. Now I'm slightly disheartened.
I'm an ND fan.
I'm an NIU fan.

Two of the biggest football powerhouses in the entire country. The Harvard and Yale of the midwest.

Come on. You know the answer to that: Depends on who is having the better season!

NIU.

A 10 year old Hank Scorpio was so upset that he cried when BC beat ND that year. My Grandpa hated Notre Dame with a passion so for christmas he bought me a bunch of Boston College gear. :(

Just a small glimpse into what shaped me into the cretin I am today.

What a horrible day that was. I'll have visions of that David Gordon kick for the rest of my life. Things most of us could have done without.

It will always be stupid that FSU won the title that year because ND happened to lose last.

I was at Ryan field watching a Dennis Lundy led Northwestern lose to Indiana. I was so bummed when the PA announcer read the ND score off. The rest of the sparse crowd was quite excited by the news.

I was so fucking pissed off. The best part is that in 1995 I lived next door to Kevin Pendergast....the same Kevin Pendergast that missed three field goals in the BC game in 1993....anyone of which would have tied/won the game.
He gave me his ND "Rudy" jacket. Oh, and he's also responsible for the NU Baskeball point shaving scandal.

No you weren't. Indiana played at home that day vs. Purdue. I was in attendance at Indiana that day on my first ever date with my later to be wife. We listened to the Notre Dame and BC game on the drive home.

Indeed, I vaguely remember they were playing PSU, but when I looked it up I saw the October game against IU and not the November game.

Props for admitting your mistake, but I dont think they are in that Holtz era level yet. Kelly is supposed to be an offensive guy. I know its not the same, but feels like Willingham/Weis's first year.

If they are in the hunt again next year, Ill believe

If the BCS was always around they'd have a few less national titles.

Im not sure that's not completely untrue and false.

Whatever the case, Purdue sucks
