Winning a D MVP award I think locks him up for a HOF entry.

I think someone needs to have an amazing second half to take this award from him right now and not just put up numbers but game changing plays...

I wonder why no one has a thread about Tillman's HOF chances.
Good idea, Biggie.

HOF was not the point...MVP was....thus the title of the thread MVPeanut.

Reading is a scil

Someone else already had an amazing first half statistically and in game changing plays. His name is JJ Watt. Watch a Texans game.

I think to be a HOFer you need to actually be great at your position. Tillman is an avg cover corner. He can punch out the ball that isn't a hof talent.

what the fuck are you on? remember when nobody threw vasher's way? peanut handled all of that. remember all those stud receivers that peanut single handedly shut down? remember a couple weeks ago against megatron? remember the vickies secret panties you put on this morning? just because the aftertaste of cum has diminished doesnt mean you didnt go down a dude.

But he might make it one. I agree that if he ends up beating Watt and everyone else for DPOY this year he will end up getting in the HOF. I think it's similar to if Hester can get another 5-7 return TDs. Forcing fumbles and returning kicks aren't usually considered HOF talents as you put it but if the players with those skills are so far above and beyond any of their peers and effect the games as much as they do because of that, I think it warrants an exception.

Hester could get in if he returns a few more to show the longevity of his amazing return career.

If anyone should go into the hall because of the ball punching it should be lovie. That is his gig and it has worked. He has coached guys above and beyond their potential on defense.

Causing turnovers is a hall of fame talent. Doesn't really matter how you make it happen.

For future reference. This is the definition of hall of fame talent.

The topic where myself and KS both declared Cobb a hall of fame talent immediately after he was drafted needs to be saved for all eternity.

MVPeanut is something Elmhurst Steve would call in to 3 shows with.

He is great covering Megatron and avg against anyone else. I'm not putting a guy in the HOF for being great at a gimmick manuever. If he was a great cornerback a lot of those forced fumbles wouldnt happen because his guy wouldnt have caught the wide open pass sent their way.

He's the perfect corner for Lovie's system and it has worked like a charm. There is a reason he never made a pro bowl before last year. He isnt that great at the position.

What I have observed and is open to debate. Rarely has #33 covered receivers one on one. I do believe that has been a change in the last couple of years which has allowed #33 to play more one on one. Also, in most cases, the guy he strips is not the guy he is "covering". He seems most dangerous when he is 5 - 10 yards away from the victim. #33 has been quite adept at the tackle/ball punch when he has that space to determine how he will attack. When he is one on one, if the receiver catches the ball he usually just gets the tackle.
