There are 23 defensive backs in the hall. He will not be joining them. There will be numerous photos and videos in Randall Cobb's hall of fame exhibit so he will probably be seen in the background watching #18 score another TD for the Pack. When they build a hall of very good he can go there.

Barber nothing special?! He was one of the anchors of Tampa's vaunted 1990s/2000s defenses

In 231 games:
Int: 46
PD: 161
TDs: 8
Sacks: 28
FF: 14
Tckls: 978

He's been around a very long time because his play has been great and will in the HoF. You can quibble with Antoine Winfield or Darren Sharper but Ronde Barber is easily ahead of Tillman.

As UMN said, there are only 23 DBs (Safeties & Corners) in the Hall. I already listed 8 who are above Tillman and that doesn't include borderline HoF players like Ty Law or Aeneas Williams who'd likely be above Tillman.

He'll be in the Hall of Very Good. Though, if you're interested in seeing the start of a HoF cornerback career you can tune into the Jags/Pack game and watch the burgeoning greatness of Casey Hayward.

Do you care to address this asinine remark?

I like Tillman. HOF,I don't think so but I will always remember that play he made on Randy Moss.

Ronde Barber is a no-brainer. Anyone who argues with that selection just doesnt know what they are talking about. I disagree with Winfield. He's just been a worse version of Tillman, without the special ball-punching skill. He's been an elite tackler at the position, but he's been an average cover corner his whole career, and has never played on a dominant defense. I've never thought of him as anything more than a decent cornerback.

Tillman belongs in the hall of system specialists. He has one great skill that serves him well in this defense.

BALL PUNCH!!

Kiss my fat ass.

Turnovers win games, and Peanut causes about as many as anyone I have ever seen...Barber will 4 sure get in the hall..just like Craig Biggio will..but neither are worthy imo...That bucs defense was great but I credit Sapp..Brooks..Rice and Lynch and Barber in that order.

Hold onto your butts but I agree with all of this post.

Tillman causes turnovers but I think that is the defense design helping him a lot. He is the perfect guy for Lovie.

And his nickname is fucking ghey.

Disagree. What Tillman is doing is unprecedented from a corner. Causing the turnovers and shutting down whomever he is lined up against. I like Watt but I don't think the race is even close at this point.

I agreed with Darko originally and I like Tillman alot, but I agree that the race isn't close yet, and I think it's Watt's to lose.

Tillman may not be a HOFer, but he's damn sure the best ball-puncher this world has ever known. It's just insane how much better he is at it than everyone else. You'd think he couldn't keep doing it, but the next game comes, and he just does it again, and again, and again.

JJ Watt will probably kill Jay Cutler on National TV next week, locking it up.

I've said it before, and took some grief for it, but I think the "ball punch" will be outlawed at some point. Just as we are seeing a stupid number of horse collar penalties (usually misguided IMHO), I think the NFL will declare ball punching a dangerous act, and they don't want to see a bunch of the inevitable copycats turning the games into a street brawl.

Tillman does have a knack for it, but I am amazed he hasn't broken someone's arm or wrist (even his own).

The day they did that every player would end every run holding the ball out in front of them like a flag football game.
