You know lots of people with 3 kids who struggle to get pregnant? I'm a bit dubious about that.

My wife was working in a school when we had my daughter. We planned it out so it would be a summer birth, so as not to disrupt my wife's work schedule. The math isn't really that hard to decipher.

I see. So you're on record as saying that couples can reliably plan on when to have a baby.

Of course, you're wrong. But at least you post it openly.

Of course, you could have read my entire post....idiot.

Cool. Name calling.

Your post contradicted itself big time. Yet I managed to respond to it without name calling.

Weird how the people that end up with twins, triplets, etc are the ones that are the people that had the hardest time getting pregnant. Of course, you probably already considered that.

As a woman ages, it usually gets a bit harder to conceive.

You better run that by MITC first. He probably disagrees.

Lots of people with no kids here making assumptions as to when kids should be born and when they shouldn't.

It's OK spanky. I'll translate your diversion post about being called an idiot into "oh, I didn't read your whole original post and therefore didn't realize that you were actually partially supporting my argument."

We were trying to hit a 3 month window. We would have been successful had there not been complications. Nature can and will interfere with the best of plans.

Is it your position that attempting to hit a 7 month window is unobtainable for "most" people?

EDIT: The above should not be interpreted as me supporting those who say Tillman should play if his wife goes into labor. He should be with his wife.

My position is clear:

Nobody can schedule when they get pregnant. Anybody that says otherwise would be wrong.

An your edit basically says: I agree with spanky but I'm arguing with him and calling him names anyway.

You're wrong again.

Tilman should have/could have planned better. But that doesn't matter at this point. He should still be with his wife.

If the pregnancy was not planned, it should have been terminated.

I may not be a doctor, oh wait, I am, but I do know my way around a woman's body. I believe the studies show that it is more difficult to conceive for the first time as she approaches 30, those skanks who have conceived several times do not show a decreased ability prior to menopause.

No it wasn't. You may have hoped to have it at a certain time, but you didn't pick a day to coincide with your work week/schedule.

My wife and I planned poorly since I'll probably have to miss the CSFMB Bulls game because of her stupid pregnancy.

I don't have kids, but have friends with kids. Like having a black friend...that counts, right?

Anyway, I'm sure most of us here know of someone who had difficulty getting/keeping pregnant. My buddy's wife has two failed pregnancies. You don't know the details of Peanut's marriage/pregnancy attempts. If Peanut missing the game upset you, realign your fucking priorities. My god.

Spanky is right.

I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure that you can fairly easily plan to NOT have a baby in about 9 months.

What? You knew there was gonna be a Bulls outing, and even if you didn't know the exact date you have a 6-month window to avoid the NBA season!!! This is far more egregious than what Tillman is doing.

It's amazing that these guys can schedule their exact pregnancy/birth date prior to conception, yet doctors can't even accurately schedule a birth date after conception, despite their years of training and experience.

I do that all the time. It's actually pretty easy, I just spend more and more time sitting on the couch watching sports. Amazingly, she doesn't find that appealing.

This message board is also a great form of birth control.

Even in the face of a great deal of abject stupidity on display in this thread, with assertions and assumptions made with little regard for validity, I can't believe nobody posited the simple and very real possibility that maybe they weren't fucking for procreation purposes, and that they're having an "oops" baby.

No you don't.

Not really; that's obviously a result of fertility drugs.

Oh, and the age card don't play. Tillman's 31, and I strongly doubt that his wife is much, if any, older. He's a 31 year old with 3 children. Let's not pretend that he's somehow in the same position of a couple desperately trying to have a child. You can think there's no problem here, or you can think there is; but the bottom line is that it's far from some great burden to time a child to within a 7 month window in his position. That's just a fact.

This, along with Tiny's point that it could easily have been unplanned, is really all that needs to be said. Nothing left to debate.
