Well, I think for me it's I don't like Quinn. Never have. Couldn't be more cliche for him to fall for a stripper and then have that blow up in his face. Laguerta's character also irritates me by this point.

Love Batista's character, but seems they are slowly filtering him out.

This season is just getting sloppy. The kill in the airport was ridiculous. Like Darko said, now there's another person who knows he's a killer. The first 4-5 seasons were built on absolutely secrecy/lone wolf and the past few he's letting more people know his secret and he's shocked that his life is going to shit?

So, where's his son? Again, sloppy writing.

I think the show writers have lost touch with what made this show great and I doubt they can get it back.

Obviously I'm still watching every week, so take that with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Had a body-double look to some of that action, though.

How did the russian guy have a cell phone in prison?

The only way this season is a success is if they KILL DEB

You do that, Gloopan, and they've lost the show. Dexter's basically a juggling act of different pressures. (That all explodes at the season finale.)

Without Deb, whose causes/represents the conflicts at the station? Batista? Yasuka? They all been denegrated to cipher characters.

It's a shame they got rid of the home conflicts by offing Rita/getting rid of the kids.

I thought it was a decent episode. Previews for next week look interesting with Deb and Dexter
likely needing to take out their respective others in their own way.

Hopefully the blonde talks him into KILLING DEB because she knows too much.

The show ends with Dexter and the blonde at large.

At least there was a brief apperance by the baby sitter.

So, no one finds it weird how they've decided to completely stop mentioning his son? Sloppy writing.

He is still with Rita's parents.

Right. My point is the last thing we know he did with his son was go to a school play? Which was at least months ago per show time. Seems like they didn't plan it at all. They enjoyed the Rita pregnant thing, but oh shit, now there's an actual baby. And then what was the point of showing him sitting in blood like Dexter? Really bad.

They obviously have time, but I feel the effectiveness of whatever they do will be diminished because of gaping holes that are now lasting over half a season. I'm honestly really glad you still enjoy the show. I enjoy parts, but it's definitely moved way down in my power rankings. I hope the writers can focus a bit more on the content/believably of the story the rest of this season and next.

I had to laugh at this because a weekly CSFMB TV Show Power Rankings would be kinda funny

Haha, I guess I kind of do have it based on what I watch first on my DVR. Other than sports I never watch live TV ever. Right now it's Walking Dead #1 and then a HUGE gap.

My rankings for the current season of shows on now

1. Walking Dead - this season has been intense, full of action, twists and new characters.
2. Homeland
3. American Horror Story
4. Boardwalk Empire
5. Dexter

1. Walking Dead -- no doubts on this it is awesome
2. Boardwalk Empire -- solid show even though I don't agree with storyline
3. Homeland -- This could move up quickly with storyline.... I like it mucho
4. Treme -- Yes it is slow but if you follow you love the characters
5. Dexter -- Weak but still better than anything else on regular television

Regular tv... Blue Bloods is very good

I canceled Showtime. But I'm reading plot summaries on IMDB the next day after the show airs. Not looking like I missed much.

Last night was a turn for the worse. No way Law and Order Deb would say kill her.

Here's the rest of the season:

Deb gets mad that Dexter won't kill Hannah
Deb keeps going after Hannah
Hannah decides that Deb needs to die
Puts Dexter in a position to make a choice.

More boring strip club/Russians trying to kill Dexter which we know won't happen.

Quinn dies at some point.

the fact that deb allows dex to continue on ruined the story. this isnt the same show that started with the first 2 seasons. its still more watchable then sons of antarchery, but barely

It was my favorite episode of the season. Although I'm not buying the whole love angle, but I wasn't actively bored during the hour which was a nice change of pace.

I disagree. This may have been one of the worst episodes of the entire seven seasons.

How come? Granted I only watched the TV series and all of season 6 but I thought this season has kinda
dragged along and this one actually had some action in it for once. I found the "friendship" with Issak a bit
contrived but other than that it was good.

Starting to come around to this. Show is beyond stale. An interesting angle with Issac they kill off one episode later. Just really bad.

I guess. There just really hasn't been a single tense moment on the show since episode 1. Just an awfully written and developed love angle and Deb knowing that Dex is a killer. They are even managing to make the Laguerta investigation of the bay harbor butcher drawn out and boring.
