Did you think the hit on the illegal forward pass play was dirty?

I didn't think so. The defender was in a tough position with Cutler near the line of scrimmage and faking the pass. He may have been able to hold up a little, so I can see the flag.

The penalty wasn't for hitting him, it was for hitting him in the head. If he was trying to just tackle Cutler, he could have gone for the torso or waist. The guy chose to hit him in the helmet.

The way I saw it, the defender hit him high on the chest with an upward thrust and the helmet contact was incidental. To me it wasn't a blatant or intentional head shot.

Pretty clear he just hit him helmet to helmet. It's not like Cutler was falling or diving or anything. He was standing straight up. The guy hit him high with the top of the helmet hitting Cutler straight in the face.
