But, I'm fine with whatever...

Is that the same Rock Bottom that has locations in IL? If it is, keep it. That place is horrible.

I'm fine with any good places the locals might know of though.

Whatever is fine with us, we're staying the night anyway.

I'm for anything within walking distance to Bradley Center that has good beer, is dive-ey, and little chance of me being shot or stabbed.

Who is going to this? Where are y'all staying? Thinking of going before we close on the house and have little to no $ to spend for stuff like this....

Well I'm sure Hawger might know of some good stuff in the area. I was just throwing a suggestion out there, but if he knows of some place cool, then I'd be all for it.

BUMP

So does anyone else have any suggestions for Saturday? I'm still ok with Rusty's Old 50, but I was hoping Hawger would chime in with some good suggestions in the area. What do ya say, Hawg?

Is 3:00 a good time for everyone? That should give us enough drinking time before tip off.

Gentleman and Ladies, I am out. They have added a basketball tournament for Hawg Jr. and as much as I like you guys I won't miss that. I don't completely know the schedule yet so if some of you are meeting down town earlier, I may swing down and have a beer with you. I will pay attention to the thread to find out for sure what the plans are. Sorry and have a good time at the game.

There are a ton of places down there. If you go a block toward the lake next to the river that whole
street is bars and places to eat. Personally I like Buck Bradley's right across the street from the
stadium. They have an upstairs bar with darts and stuff. I have been there before games plenty of
times and it wasn't too bad. Home to the longest bar east of the mighty Mississippi. It is pretty damn
long. Nice place with good food. There is another place called Game Time I think which is also across the
street just north of the stadium. Mostly standing room only. I wouldn't recommend it. There is a place on
the south corner called Major Goolsby's which is a good sports bar that a lot of people like but a bit run down
in my opinion. A lot of people really like it and it does have a nice dive bar atmosphere. Those are the only
ones I can think of off the top of my head. Turners across the street used to have a top notch place but they
closed and only do concerts and rock climbing stuff in the basement.

That's too bad. Have fun.

Part of my plan is to come down to meet you guys, just don't know how long I can stay. I wasn't very happy with this, but I am not going to miss him play.

That's a bummer, Hawger. Hopefully you can make it out for a quick pop or two at least.

I just got back in town, so I'll look over some of T-Bone's suggestions and come up with a plan. Like I said, we are probably showing up around 3:00. Does that time work for everyone else?

Found out my folks are going to the game with some friends. I guess they are going to Mader's on old world 3rd street and W. Highland. One block east of the stadium. I will likely head over there...

Were you in Portland last week? Because I think I saw you on TV at the Bulls game. The camera panned to a guy who looked like you, wearing a Bulls jersey sitting next to (presumably) his wife. I told my girl, "Hey I think I know that guy."

Yup, that was us.

We were sitting 3rd row behind the bulls bench. If you rewatch the 4th quarter of that game, you can easily spot the very pissed off Bulls fan in a Pippen jersey watching as the Bulls collapsed.

Okay, I thought that was you. I had only seen your wife once and very briefly (before she was your wife), so I couldn't remember what she looked like. But I was very sure that was you on TV. Good looking couple.

Just saw the lady friend off, so I'm packing up a few things and jamming out to some tunes before I hit the road. Not sure when I will arrive, but it will provide ample time to exchange pleasantries. Thinking I'm not drinking though, as the plan right now is for me to drive back home after the game, but we shall see what develops.

Highlight of the night besides mediocre basketball was the random bumping into Sini at Buck Bradley's.

That game sucked. I hope it was more fun live, but that shit put me to sleep.

We went to this Irish Bar next to Buck Bradley's after the game. Our waitress from Mader's was dancing her ass off. We ordered four shots of Jameson and 4 pints of Coors Light and it was only $32.
I love Wisconsin.

What would that run you right now in Chicago?

It would be $38 at the bar we go to in Mundelein, probably over $40 in Chicago.

This was a good time...although the play got sloppy in the second half, it was a close game, which is all I can ask for...

...really enjoyed seeing the old fucks dancing to Gangnam Style at the end of the first quarter...also enjoyed rating the cheerleaders with IMU...

...wish I could have stayed afterwards and had some drinky fun...will have to wait for the proper meetup in Chicago...

...and for anyone who attended that cares, I didn't have to make the entire drive home last night. 8)
