Impossible to answer.

Shouldn't be in the least .... there's one clear asswipe in the bunch, a decent fella, and a swell cat. But seeing as overdone drama seems to be your most recent cup of tea, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised by obscuring the obvious with piles and piles of nonsense.

How's that for interesting?

You don't have a clue what is going on with me. Just to remind you.

And you, Billy the Emo, don't have clue fucking one what's going on in my chemically fucked brain either, fella.

I may not have the gumption to follow through, but I've pretty much spent EVERY fucking day since the mid-90s asking polietly, angrily, and any other type of way petitioning with the good Lord to not have me wake the fuck up the following morning ... tonight shall be no exception, nor do I suspect that this will change any time in the future, at least any time soon.

But aside from mentioning such thoughts on occasion in a pleasantly funny fashion as a way to try to alleviate the misery and as a courtesy try to entertain as recompense for the reader reading it, you don't see me writing any out-and-out boo-hoo, Sammy Maudlin horseshit about vaguely threatening to off myself without actually coming out to say it on a sports talk board.

That's not to say I wish you ill. I just feel it's not out of the question for hoping you had more of a sense of self-discipline as well as proper concern for others that are more likely to actually spend their time worrying about you just in the 1,000 to 1 chance that you decide that after writing some loosely worded dissertation about causing yourself grievous harm that you might actually carry on with it. Yes, some people around here would be bothered by that, and while they are 100% responsible for their own reactions, you also are 100% responsible for putting them in a position that they find they must, for one reason or another, feel poorly for you.

How the fuck is that for interesting?

You know what I can't stand? Suicide and suicide talk. Forgive me if I don't have the slightest modicum of sympathy for situations like these. People like this are totally disconnected, and have no idea that their problems truly aren't the end of the world, and they aren't alone like they think they are. 95% of suicide notices are attention grabs.

Look, I'm glad the guy is alright. No one should kill themselves. But there is a difference between that and having sympathy. I have sympathy for kids living without parents. I have sympathy for the family members of people who kill themselves. The suicider? Pass.
Speaking of attention grabs!

I wish everyone on this message board well, regardless of any stupid message board conflict in the past. I can easily separate the two. Are you saying you can't?

Honestly, you giant vagina...I can criticize a person when justified. I can tease a person when justified. I can also show sympathy to a person when justified. All of these can be done without the slightest bit of hypocrisy or regret.

You are interjecting yourself into this. In fact, the vague "for personal reasons" only continues to do so.

Who dislikes JBills as a human being? Do you?

Don't speak for anyone but yourself. The concern for him seemed genuine by many. It's ok if you weren't concerned for him.

Complete strangers were worried about you, and several showed considerable compassion. With that in mind, please know that your family, friends, relatives and loved ones will ALWAYS be there for you, and will ALWAYS want you there for them.

Now get on over to one of the NBA threads and let's get this party started.

Thanks man. Seriously. I don't have but a couple good friends anymore, which is a big reason you all got to see this side of me. Yeah, thoughts of not seeing my brothers grow into men really kept the offing impulse away the last 7yrs...

Anyone who thinks they have more than a couple of good friends has not clue what a good friend is. I don't know why you would say "I don't have but a couple good friends". A couple of good friends is a blessing.

You bring up the term hypocrisy a lot.

I'm guessing I find it hypocritical that the same people who possibly could have played a small part in driving him to suicidal thoughts would then suddenly have genuine concern over his possible self-killing.

No person has a small part in driving a manic depressive to thoughts of suicide...but I do think that when a woman is dressed like that, she is asking for it

I've gone at it with Billz several times. It was almost always sports related. I never felt guilty saying "Your NBA thoughts are dumb". Those aren't suicide-inducing words. I dont think anyone here, iirc, was over-the-top in their rhetoric towards Billz. He was just another guy here that had some good and bad thoughts. I highly doubt anyone here who wished him well or asked him to talk to someone did so out of guilt. Suicide is an awful thing, and I think most people here with any type of experience with it or with those who've tried or done it have genuince empathy for Billz in this situation and sincerely wanted him to get help. I did. And that doesnt make me feel any more guilty about saying his basketball thoughts are dumb at times. Like dolphin and Brick said, they are completely seperate issues. I highly doubt any comment made on this board drove him to depression. If anything, he seemed to suggest that the back and forth here has helped him cope with it. There's no hypocrisy or guilt felt in wishing him well.

Who are you referring to?

I don't think anyone takes the board serious enough that they would continue to get into it with someone if there was a legitimate thought they would be driving them to suicide.

I have genuine concern for anyone who is dealing with mental issues. I'm thankful I don't have any more major ones just like I'm thankful I don't have other medical issues.
