Holy shit, Asik is looking good this season. I can tell because I have looked at his box scores. He's averaging 13 rebounds a game. And the box score says he hasnt fouled much. Yeah, Deng is a great defender and you'd miss that length, but GarPax needs to realize that it's also important to outscore the other team.

I think he knows that, but it's about how much of a trade-off you're willing to accept. The Bulls really need a guy like Deng if they are going to have a roster to compete with Miami, and possibly NY, in the near future. There's nobody else on the roster even remotely capable of staying in front of Melo or LeBron, or even still a guy like Pierce in Boston. The Bulls defense will keep them in any game and any series, as long as they have a healthy Rose, Noah, and Deng. I guess you can add Taj to the core now. With those four, the obvious missing link is a spot up shooter who moves well off the ball, which is Kevin Martin almost to a tee, but if they swapped him for Deng they would desperately need a defensive 3 with length who can rebound and hit open shots(Deng). I think it's easier to find someone with Martin's size and skill set(or at least 85% of what he gives you) than it is to replace Deng's size and skill set.

I'd say it's very similar except for their public transportation. The CTA and Metra easily outclass their shit.
