Don't like it.

And I don't buy that all the song clips were reproduced at the exact same second...sounded different to me.

Yes, they sounded odd...almost like a cover band. Obviously I know that he didn't use a cover band, but the scratchy 45 sound of some of those songs is "right" both for the overall song AND the WYC? open......in my opinion, anyway. And, as I posted earlier, the "cut" points didn't sound quite as "exact" as Dan was creaming his pants over.

I guess I don't know why you'd spend any time on this task...........although maybe this means that they will clean up the Windows system sound that plays during the Friday open (son of a black man from Kenya....), which would be good.

Actually, I take it all back - good job. It's nice that a producer/engineer/whatever on this show is actually interested in burning a few calories and improving/updating the product a bit.

It, big picture, obviously doesn't matter but I seem to recall getting a radio boner about how EXACT their new guy was able to cut in the new stuff........it didn't sound like that to me, at all, even on the first listen.

I synched up two podcasts (11/8 and 11/29) and they are 100% not the same... the Ditka interview piece is off by at least a third of a second, but they cut it into Tell Me Lies so they both hit at the same time, and the Liar Liar part is the same way. The Eagles are also off by about a fifth of a second.
