Wow just doing some searching on google about this thing and there all kinds of stories out there. People getting letters and calls and even white suburbans showing up in their drive way

I then recieved a call from some lady who told me she was with the American Community Survey, I stopped and told her i was on the national do not call list, as such i don’t do phone interviews, surveys, telemarketing, or sales over the phone and to remove me from the list. She said she was with the goverment and they dont remove people from their list. I told her guess i would just have to disconnect it, she told me to do what I needed to do. Their next tactic was to ambush my wife, she came home from work to find a white suburban parked out front and the lady approched her and tried to get her to answer the survey. She refused and went inside. THis evening up on my arrival home I found a fedex mailer shoved under my front door, I opened it. insdie was a letter threatening me with penalties for not complying with their request. I promptly called the lady listed on the survey(same one who had left cards for me to call her and visited my wife). I told her to remove me from thier list, i was not going to tell her anymore than 2 people live here, both are employed, both are between the age of 18 and 65, both drive cars, SUV’s to be exact, gas guzzlers if she must know. I aksed her why the need to know if we have indoor toliets, a stove, or refrigerator? how far and what time we leave for work is our business. She said she needed my name and address to mark me complete. I said hell you been to my house you must have the address. I pointed out to her that 23 million Americans need a job, they should be working on that and not some damm survey. She said, she could not take me off the list since i had not given her my name and or address. I told her the sidewalk is where public property ends, dont come on mine again.
So if a survey lady hollers at you from the sidewalk you can thank me for keeping them off your doorstep.
