Can't remember if I took any after my divorce I will have to look this weekend. I only cared about two that
I had. One was a light up snowman and the other was a balck Santa. The ex-broke the Santa a year before
the divorce ( in my mind it was on purpose ).

The image I have in mind of this scenario is truly hilarious.

It was ceramic and my favorite by far. We are unpacking things in the basement to display and I
turn around to dig through a plastic bin and I hear it shatter. I seriously yelled "No!" at the top of
my lungs. It was my Christmas Story moment. She couldn't explain how it happened but wasn't
at all sorry at its destruction.

Outside lights can go up any warm day in November; switch gets thrown the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Inside stuff (tree, etc) goes up the second Sunday of Advent.

Everything down by 9am New Years day. Exception granted for Nativity setups. They can remain until The Epiphany.

We spent the entire day decorating the inside of the house today. Monday the outside stuff goes up.

Fall is the best time of year to plant a tree.

Being Jewish, I figure first I'll wait for the Messiah to be born, and then we'll probably work with whatever is seasonally appropriate.

I left for the Bears game with a normal neighborhood. I returned to find my neighbor had put up a 20 foot tall blow up snowman in the front yard. I have never seen anything like this shit...two full stories of christmastime fun placed in front of his newly constructed oversized house.

Outside lights start going up on Thursday. Inside decorations start on Saturday and get finished when the lady's parents get here next week.
