I'm bored and so is Mac.

-Bulls?
-Cubs?
-Lottery talk
-Finfer says unfunny things
-Lots of Bears.
-Definite Tim Beckman talk.

I dunno, listen or don't.

Guaranteed to hear 2 parodies this morning. The one for ProFootballTalk/NBC Sports.com's Mike Florio @ 10A to Them's "Gloria" & CSNC's Mark Schanowski to The Knack's "My Sharona" @ 11A. Don't ask...

Mac is so fucking stubborn and I love it.

Good show so far, boys!

Nothing like having Chicago's best sports talk on from 9-1!

So I'm curious if, since Matt said he would likely vote for Bonds and Clemens as they would seem to have had HoF careers pre-steroids (et al), I wonder if he would also then vote for Pete Rose, since he most assuredly had a HoF career long before he bet on baseball.

Not a complaint, just wondering if the transative property would apply. I also eliminate the fact that Pete himself signed away his eligibility (which is my only problem with him being voted in to this point) simply as a way to streamline the argument.

(He may already be on the record one way or the other, I don't happen to know though)

Good question. I would imagine this is one of those 'pick and choose' type deals and thus comes down to how you personally feel about a player.

I am going to give this 45 minutes. I usually listen but feel like music a bit more today.

I've always liked Mac & Spiegs, and I think this show has gotten much tighter and cohesive the last year or so. They have some pretty good regular guests and they're decent interviewers. Also, I might be the only one here who likes Finfer. I think the guy is solid.

I totally agree. Best show on the station which isn't saying much but on its own it's really good...most of the time.

Good guests, decent interviews, good flow and solid non-sports talk. It's a good sports talk show.

I wish they'd let Boomer do all the Sports Minutes. This last one about the player that replaced a less fortunate families stolen presents even warmed my cold, black heart a little.

I'm with you guys on the bandwagon. I like the guests and segments and non-sports talk. Only thing I
PTFB for is fantasy football talk but I see why they do it. Are they really having Cutler on today? I am only
half listening so thought I caught that.

Nah, I like Finfer. After noticing pretty much everyone else hates him, that was my impetus for creating the drinky vs finfer poll.

I wish a sports radio station would have an interview with Paul Giamatti the next time he is on the movie plugging circuit and slip in a question about whether his dad ever talked to him about his Pete Rose investigations.

I answered my own Cutler question. They are covering the presser. I am getting way too much work done
today, I should have caught that. Had no idea the Giamatti's were father and son Dolphin. Thanks for the
interesting nugget. Hard to believe but I think Paul actually got the good looks on that deal.

The Boers comment about him sounding like a babbling baby was funny though.

I was serious. I enjoyed hearing Spiegs and Zawaski talk about their kids.

And the Boers line was a definite

I guess some players really do have a hard-on for certain matchups.

I guess some players really do get up for certain games.

People are calling in trying to lend creedence to the Viagra question. Some of it seems to make some
medical sense but I find it hard to believe it would make any competitive difference.

Didn't realize that Tributo was doing The Band next week. Too bad it is a Wed. night.

Oh man....

Anyways, Mac telling Speigs he doesn't know shit about music? If it isn't ELO or BTO Mac doesn't want anything to do with it.

I actually like listening to Meat talk music.

It means 2 things. One, Spiegs' band is playing on my birthday. Two, Finfer sits in w/Mac next Thursday.

Yup. Unfortunate comments by Mac regarding The Band. It's just an opinion. Sometimes you wish one's opinion was a bit more informed.
