I believe the one DB thread he had was regarding the "first class stewardess" on a certain flight. Why include the first class part? Because its a subtle brag.

As far as getting his Masters just for fun...obviously that costs money. Why say its just for fun even if it is? It clearly means he had at least $15-20K just to burn "for fun", but why even say that? Why couldn't he just say he got his masters? Its bragging, but its a good brag, a brag that would get him a lot of kudos from people here.

Its just bad form. Just the way he phrases things can be pretty shitty sometimes in my POV.

I don't linke IMU with Andy Kaufmann.

Andy Kaufmann sucked hard. His put ons lifestyle was even particularly funny and I'm normally a guy that laughs that type of humor. Taxi sucked hard and Jim was light years better than him.
