At least from what I was reading they laughed at themselves once they figured out what was going on. :lol:

I can only imagine if one of the cable news channels had run with this and then realized they had fucked up.

Tongues were wagging all over the Windy City this morning after the anchor team on the “WGN Morning News” mistakenly reported what they thought was a single-engine plane crash on one of Chicago’s main downtown arteries.
Some 20 minutes after the WGN morning show anchors Robin Baumgarten and Larry Potash first reported the plane crash and got really wound up about it, word finally got to them that, in fact, a plane had not crashed....


Not so moondick. They fucked up. Caught it in the same segment (not quite 10 minutes), and laughed at themselves for fucking up. NOTE the fire dept even stated that they should have told a few folks what the hell was going on. Loosen the bow tie and let the blood flow man.

If anyone cares what the beadie eyed bumble fuck wrote, here you go.
