Boers is wrong.

Doeren is getting around $1.8M PER YEAR from NC State. He is insistent that he's getting less than $2M for the life of the deal.

What's the text number?

That's the rumor, but I think it's a bad rumor.

In a way it makes more sense than Clemson, but it still seems like an odd fit.

You need a scorecard to figure out which college and which conference they'll soon be affiliated. There have also been rumblings & grumblings about the Big Ten (Plus) and...North Carolina? Double huh?

The only benefit for the SEC would be if they worked with the Big Ten to totally destroy the ACC and take all that money.

Personally, I think all the NC State rumors are to scare North Carolina to jumping ship before they get caught going to the Big 12.

I think all that needs to be devoted to this Chiefs thing was already summed up by that sports minute so hopefully they do not devote any more time to it.

Yeah, that John Feinstein "CBS Sports Minute" was out there. Doug Gottlieb's got some more gems before he & Allie LaForce do that "Lead Off" show on CBS Sports Network tonight...

It wasn't out there at all. He said the Chiefs were right not to make a martyr of a murderer. Pretty cut and dried.

It's very unfortunate what happened early Saturday morning.

Here's the "State Farm Bears Monday" Game Plan:

*4P: The SCORE/NF Post/Tribune Writer/CSNC's Matt Bowen-X & O's Breakdown of the Seahawks' OT Win Over The Bulls
*TBA: The SCORE/WBBM/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-Injury Updates Stemming From Bears' Loss to SEA

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

Terry's "two favorite words", like him or not, Laurence Holmes, wraps up "Bears Monday" @ 6P. Dial Global Radio Network's coverage of "Monday Night Football" follows @ 7P. Kevin Harlan, Boomer Esiason & Tony Boselli paint the picture from FedEx Field in Landover, MD for tonight's Giants/Redskins' game, complete with Jim Gray trying to figure out "What Did Larry Learn?" with Cardinals' WR Larry Fitzgerald & whatever else Patriots' QB Tom Brady will discuss about his team's AFC East-clinching win over the Dolphins yesterday in Miami during the pregame. "SCORE Overnight", complete with "Bum of the Week" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris, follows the NYG/WSH game on The SCORE until 5A Tuesday.

Do you think Schwartz is on the hot seat?

Detroit has some talent, throw up big numbers, but still suck. Why?

On the show before this one, Mac & Spiegs said that Schwartz signed an extension in the offseason. Not sure how much $$$$ Detroit management would want to eat to get him out.

You're very selective about which posts of mine you zero in on. You focus on the above quote, while completely ignoring my criticism of Bernstein the Football X's and O's guy. You clearly have this agenda of painting me in a certain light when it comes to this show. The problem is, in ignoring my critical posts, it only serves to spotlight your bias.

You're right, sometimes I see your praise of Bernstein and it gets on my nerves.

Wow. Looks like Bob Brenly has been added to the hate list of Cubbie Nation with Steve Stone, Sammy Sosa, and Mark Prior.

CBSSports.com's Danny Knobler has tweeted that former Astros' pitcher turned analyst Jim Deshaies is the pick to replace Bob Brenly in the Cubs' TV booth. No comment from the team and WGN, which was reportedly leading the negotiations.

I just always assume Dan's "guy", regardless of the situation, is Twitter.
