Boring in that you know Dexter won't be arrested or put on trial for any of it. It'll either end in 1) Dexter killing Laguerta which admittedly would be great, 2) some sort of evidence cover up/mishandling or 3) Deb and Dex convincing her of the killing for good thing.

I felt the same thing about 24 towards the end. You just knew that Jack wasn't going to die so any of the 'drama' just didn't work.

I didn't hate the episode either, was mostly entertained throughout.

Just think it's proving my point that the plot and show has become so convoluted that there's no way the writers can keep any consistency and it really removes all suspense and drama completely.

Quinn's character might be the worst I've seen on a long running show. They have absolutely no idea what they are doing with him. Feels like they write an episode and go oh fuck we didn't talk about him at all, so here's a 5 minute scene in a strip club with some tits and yea...

She's a Captain. She outranks Deb. If she wanted to put an unmarked car by the harbor she easily could do that.

She's also shown she is willing to go outside Miami Metro for help on this investigation as evidenced by using the other forensic lab for the blood slide. Hire a PI? Just shotty writing.

I'm possibly too quick to judge the 'new' Dexter, but I still contend the development of his relationship with Hannah is horrendous. Makes Rick and Lori look like Jim and Pam in comparison.

I like the show, but this season is all over the place and it's up to about 30% of the people that Dexter knows either know or think he's a serial killer.

As long as the story is going everywhere, I'd like to see it come out that Deb poisoned herself to get Dexter to turn his girlfriend in.

This show needs some sort of twist with Deb. I actually like her character for the most part. At this point I'm guessing that the preview of Dex being arrested is just clever editing/daydream. If it's not, I'd love to see Deb kill LaGuerta to help Dex.

Based on the quick glance of the shirt, I thought it was Angel getting stuffed into the SUV. I didn't go back and watch it in slow mo, but I thought Angel.

Love the theory about Deb poisoning herself. I never thought of that.

I did think about how the chick from Chuck could totally out Dexter as being a serial killer and wondered why Dexter hadn't thought of that. Ridiculous.

Deb hugs a bloody Laguerta and then rolls to the party in the same clothes? No way she could handle that.
The Mike Anderson just randomly decided to put surveillance on area gas station thing is weak too.

The plot holes are many, but I still like the show. With the bad characters like Quinn, last nights episode reminded me that I liked Doakes. Although I think a lot of that comes from the books. Honestly though, if I try to go back and think about the older seasons I get what was books and what was show confused.

Doakes was plenty tired when they got rid of the character.
