No it's not.

There's still over 4 weeks left in the year.

I've heard good things about that Lumineers album. Two people said it'd be up my alley. So far:

The Mountain Goats - Transcendental Youth
John K. Samson - Provincial
Tindersticks - The Something Rain
Regina Spektor - What We Saw from the Cheap Seats
The Magnetic Fields - Love at the Bottom of the Ocean

What's telling about this list is that these are all artists I've been pretty committed to for some time. No one new making the list. My only new album by a new artist is Tramp by Sharon Van Etten, and while I love "Serpents" and the fact that the cover is a direct homage to John Cale's Fear, I'm not all that taken with the rest of it.

Listen, granddad, nobody buys albums anymore. I pick & choose which songs I want to listen to off Livewire & listen to them on my Galaxy III. So why don't you take your 8-tracks & Hustle your way out back to the disco!

I'd agree with everything here except Silversun Pickups, I'd replace that with Gaslight Anthem Handwritten.

That might be mine too, but I'm also partial to the way Highly Refined Pirates starts off; either way you can't go wrong.

Just to go off topic for a moment, I used to do business with a guy in Berea, Ohio named Ronnie Dunn. Whenever I would call for him and the receptionist would ask who was calling, I'd say Kix Brooks in a hillbilly accent.
