Half of bryan's posts are based in ignorance. The other half are based in a desire for confrontation. I'll let god decide in which category this one belongs.

Heath Ledger is such a good actor that when Joker said Maggie Gyllenhall was hot, I actually believed him for a second.

Agreed.

I couldn't hear what Bane was saying a majority of the movie. Maybe it's where we were sitting in the theater. And, no, it's not my hearing. I have great hearing. Just ask my Uncle Leo. I also have great penmanship.

I know it got overblown, but what Ledger did in the The Dark Knight was nothing short of briliant...

Nope

Not here though.

I just love the Bane character and what they did with it.

I liked The Joker bought thought it was slightly overrated.

Cant wait to see 'Rises' on DVD

Saw it on a low quality bootleg.

Im not gonna even argue this though. Im not a superfan.

I liked Joker and thought it was a little overblown

I had low expectations for Bane and he waaaaaaaay overachieved.

Anyway, theyre all looking up at Max Shreck

Nicholson's joker was just as good in a different way.

Let me put it in words you can understand. What you are saying is equivalent to this:

Eminem's D12 is better than RZA's Wu Tang Clan.

Nope. Good. Not great like Ledger.

Joker's appearance at the gangster meeting was better than anything Nicholson did in the first Batman.

Maybe ill rewatch The Dark Knight but Nicholas performance was certainly better than good. He completely stole the movie and the performance was regarded as superb until Heath Ledger died.

Ledger had to come up with a whole new kind of joker because he knew no one could do funny/crazy joker (the actual character) as good as Jack.

I liked Rises better. I think Batman being beaten down made it cool. There was little doubt he would beat the joker. In Banks case it was not

It wasn't a new Joker, though. It was psycopath Joker which appeared in quite a few comic versions. Like the one that killed Robin. I like that Joker better. The wacky, 1960's, joy buzzer, make-up covering my goatee-Joker doesn't scare anybody. That's more so what Nicholson was doing. An updated version of Cesar Romero's Joker...

Heath Ledger was the Andy Kauffman of the Jokers.

Bane was a throw away character in one of those old bad Batman movies. In the comics he was a crazy roided up freak. I did enjoy this version of Bane in the film.

I definately need to watch it again, but I still dig the hell out of Joker. Even if Ledger didn't die, I think he acted his ass off in Dark Knight. You'd have to thik that if he'd lived, there may not have been a Bane at all in the third film...
