Cutler is starting tomorrow.

It is still my opinion he will die some day. You heard it here first.

Just want to make sure I understand your position now. Was your guy right or wrong?

To look at it from a strictly probabilistic perspective, we may never be able to overtly verify whether he had or was examined for a neck injury or not. They only way we will know is if he or the team says something, or if the potential injury were to compound itself such that public acknowledgement would be unavoidable.

But , . . . you can keep trying to slam me for reporting what I heard, no problem. That'll work out just fine if'n you got some frustrations built up, Chief!

Well, I think you may have noticed a slightly different reaction if your story was "Cutler is possibly getting his neck examined" as opposed to he may be done for his career. See the slight difference?

Umm, ok, but Cutler has been twitchy with his neck since he came to Chicago, so you're not documenting any new developments here.

In your medical opinion, which would you say is worse: the "shredded" ankle ligaments Rose suffered in the 2011 NBA playoffs or this "potentially" season-ending neck injury to Cutler?

He has had a tick in his shoulder since he got here. Noticed it since day one. Much more apparent after bad throws or incomplete passes, but the one thing is he has done as long as he has been in Chicago.

Sure looked a lot more pronounced today. And he was very gingerly with the chin strap as well.hehad to hold the front of his facemask to re-attach it, too, which looked wierd, like he didn't want the helmet rotating his head or sthg.

Are you sure he doesn't do that every time he puts his chinstrap on?

I was at the health services facility to pick up my wife....Morgan Fairchild....when I overheard two doctors talking about Jay Cutler.

Was his neck hurting him the entire game? Im sure there has to be some fresh excuse as to why they scored 7 points with him at the helm.

Don't be silly. It was clearly everyone else's fault that Jay played terribly today. If everyone else on the offense played like an All Pro they probably would have put up at least 17-20 points.

Cutler was really really good today. First INT obviously isn't his fault, impossible to put that on him. Second one was.

Two dropped touchdown passes (Alshon/Hester) and a few more big drops for first downs (Marshall/Davis).

Some of the scrambles were just flat out incredible. Kept drives alive single handedly.

Some of the throws to Marshall were mind-blowing. Fitting them into incredibly small windows. Impressive.

There are so many other more important issues on this team than Cutler, this isn't even worth talking about. Plus, he has been doing this with a career ending neck injury. That's worth something.

The Bears would be foolish to give Cutler a huge contract after this season. Let him go elsewhere & go in a different direction.

Agreed, especially with that hypothetically competent offensive line, receivers, and Offensive Coordinator.

Yup. I'd expect new receivers and a new offensive coordinator to solve the problem this time. Yeah, it failed to make a difference every other year, but this is the year it works out.
