btw: I love how Dan slips into passive voice whenever he discusses the ineptitude of the passing game, as if a team just acquires a quarterback and a wide receiver and then sits back and pops the bubbly as points are magically "produced." The Bears aren't failing to generate points because of some inscrutable natural law; they're failing to generate points because the passing game, including Cutler and Marshall, is still garbage, you fucking meatball.

I'm sure the story will be told on air tomorrow. How Dan could let his son play such a violent sport is mind boggling  .

I wonder if it's hard for Dan, you know, raising a kid that is a 100% racist meatball. Seriously though, he's just a dad watching his kid play sports. If he spent a couple hours a week shitting on youth hockey I might have more of a problem with this but for now, meh.

Agreed. I would just sit back and keep the powder dry on Dan's bragging about his kid. This will get much worse over the next decade so you will have plenty of better opportunities.

Let's get back to the real show thread and ignore SHARK's attempted coup.

Dumb things will be said by hosts, callers, and guests.

Berns: My guy called me today and told me it's Phil Emery's decision on whether to keep Lovie.

Mac: I'll believe it when I see it.

Berns: Well you'll never see it, but I'm telling you it's true.

Terry says Emery has a guy in waiting but he doesn't think he has told anyone.

Is he the same guy who told Terry earlier in the season that Lovie was going to get an extension? Boy, did that become a moot point or what?

How do you get beat by Christian Ponder? Oh I don't know maybe because 14 of the 21 points scored against you were given up by Jay Cutler.

He only had 91 yards passing yesterday and got pierced with boos when the Vikings did nothing on offense...Ponder, I mean.

Here's the "State Farm Bears' Monday" Game Plan:

*NEXT: The SCORE/WBBM/Bears Radio Network's Zach Zaidman-Jay Cutler's Neck, Robbie Gould's Calf and Other Injuries from the Loss in Minnesota
*4P: The SCORE/Tribune/CSNC's Matt Bowen-How Did Adrian Peterson Slice The Bears' Defense on the First Play?

"Scoreboard Updates": Connor McKnight

Terry's "two favorite words", Laurence Holmes, wraps up "State Farm Bears' Monday" @ 6P this eve. Dial Global Radio Network's coverage of "Monday Night Football" follows @ 7P. Unfortunately, after Dial Global's Jim Gray brings us his "partners" in Patriots' QB Tom Brady & Cardinals' WR Larry Fitzgerald in the pregame, the radio network brings us a doozy. Texans/Pats from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA described by Kevin Harlan, Boomer Esiason & Mark Malone is the matchup tonight. After the game, "SCORE Overnight" with Les Grobstein & Adam Harris, complete with "Bum of the Week" from around 11P-ish this eve until 5A Tuesday morning.

By the way, great news. Terry's "two favorite words" will be taking a little vacation later this week. NO LAURENCE HOLMES WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY!!! You're welcome.

Poor Jay, its just the Bears ineptitude thats keeping him from getting a ring. Not 100 yard pick 6's.

How about the two dropped TDs?

Nah. That has nothing to do with the offense's inability to score.

If I recall, it was AP that beat the Bears. Didn't Ponder have 91 yards passing?

Jay missed a lot of throws, but the Bears sure dropped a few. His first interception was because the receiver fell down on a timing route.

You are correct. The Bears also had over 400 yards total offense, yet turned it over twice on the Cutler interceptions and once more when they failed on 4th down. Not winning football.

I actually noticed a little facial hair on the Bears' head coach late last week after practice. For the longest time, I thought Lovie Smith was the lovechild of ex-"SportsChannel Report" anchor Dyrol Joyner & "Good Times" co-star John Amos. Might Lovie now be morphing into retired NBC5 anchor Warner Saunders with the facial hair, by cracky?

"Let's hire Sean Payton."

If a caller said that, he'd be mocked mercilessly.

I love Bernstein going apoplectic on callers that his producer screened and put through. Then said producer comes on and berates the idiot some more. How about not putting a dumb ass like that on the air? This is becoming so staged and trite week after week.
