Bears have the tie break over them. Only way the Rams can make the playoffs is by going 3-0 and having the Bears go 0-3. Not to mention the fact that they have to also pick up a game on the Redskins and Cowboys with a tie breaker over both. Impossible. One more Bears win eliminates the Rams.

Yeah. I want to see them make it by losing 6 out of their last 8 games. Just cuz it's so stupid. I'll bet that would be a first in NFL history.

I'm telling you, it's gonna come down to the last week. Bears beat lions and they're in. Or Cowboys beat Redskins and Bears are in even with a loss to the Lions.

If neither one of those things happen, it's gonna be hell for the Bears by the fan base. They'll have to fire Lovie.

Dez Bryant going on IR apparently. That takes care of Dallas.

Is RGIII gonna miss time with his injury? If so, say bye to the Redskins.

Vikings won't win another game.

He's got a grade one sprain of his LCL. Shanahan says he's optimistic he'll play.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/12/10/shanahan-sounds-optimistic-rg3-will-play-vs-browns-on-sunday/

Still, with a sprained knee, he won't have his 4.3 speed. If you take away that, the Redskins aren't the same team.

So the Bears will make the playoffs by default.

Right. I want that. Cuz you'll see a proud, dumb ass lovie, talking about his playoff team after a Lions loss saying the 2-6 finish doesn't mean anything. I just think it would be hilarious.

It doesnt matter. Making the playoffs is pointless for this team. They couldnt beat any NFC playoff team at home let alone on the road. The season is over regardless of whether it stretches out to a 17th game and another playoff loss.

I agree with you Beardown.

It'd be hilarious.

Then Lovie would get his extension because Phil Emery wanted it, not because he was overruled by the McClaskys.

Right. Everybody knows that. But the draft pick for being the 6th seed is about the same as missing the playoffs by a game. 20th pick or 19th pick. Same thing. So might as well make it. You either get blown out or the starting QB of the other team gets a concussion and you win!!!!! Then you get blown out in the next round.

But if they make the playoffs Lovie gets an extension and I think it is pretty clear that Lovie has shown us the best he can do at this point.

I don't know if that's for sure. I think a 2-6 finish and a blow out loss in the playoffs would be the same as not making the playoffs. If Emery doesn't see it that way, then we know we have a bad GM. So at least we'll have figured that out.

Put it this way. As of right now, a smart GM would know if he wants Lovie back or not. What happens the rest of the year is academic. Because beating the lowley Lions and/or Cardinals to make the playoffs shouldn't be the make or break factor. That would be small thinking.

He should already know who he wants to be the next head coach as of right now as well.

I was half joking, but your math is off...Rams are only 1.5 games back...they can afford a Bears win or a loss of their own and still make it.

Bears are currenly 3 point dogs against the Packers. They'll be favored by 3 or 4 at Arizona and they'll be 3 or 4 point dogs at Detroit. I know Detroit has a shit record but their offense is good enough to be favored in most home games. Certainly against the Bears. That team always has the capability to put up 28. Especially in that dome.

Redskins will be a pick at Cleveland if RGIII plays. Maybe even a slight dog. They'll be 4 or 5 point dogs if he doesn't play. Redskins will be 4 or 5 point favorites at Philadelphia. Redskins will be 3 point favorites at home against the Cowboys.

Browns are a very tough game for the Redskins in Cleveland with RGIII. I can't see them winning it without RGIII. That Browns defense is top 10. Their offense has been putting up points in recent weeks. And the Redskins defense is one of the worst in the NFL.

Book it that the Eagles will beat the Redskins straight up. Eagles have suddenly stabilized and the defense is starting to play well.

The Cowboys also lost to the Seahawks. So they lose tie breakers to both the Bears and Hawks. One more Cowboys loss and one more win by the Bears and Seahawks and Dallas is officially eliminated. Could happen this week.

That's what I was talking about by actually posting and talking about the scenerios. I watched some NFL network, ESPN and have listened to the Score. Everybody talks about who they think will make the playoffs. But nobody looks at what has to happen for each team. That's a huge factor. It wouldn't be that hard for them to do so. I did it.

I don't expect it from B&B. Talking actual sports is beneath them. But ESPN and NFL network should go through what has to happen in production meetings. Maybe throw up some graphics to explain it to people. Most of these expert jocks on ESPN and NFL network probably don't even know that the Cowboys lose tiebreakers to the Bears and Seahawks.

I'm the only one in America that's actually breaking down the playoff scenerios!!!!!

Bears have a 65% chance of making the playoffs. That sounds about right.

Yeah. That does sound about right. If you put one more Bears win into the math (Vs Arizona for sure) I'll bet it's 85%. They obviously didn't chalk up one more win for the Bears to get that 65%. I am. I think one more win gets them in.

So you think the Redskins go 1-2 or 0-3? I think if the Bears go 1-2, they have about a 40% chance of getting in. If they go 2-1 it'll probably be about 70-75%. After they lose to GB this week it will probably dip down to 50%.

Yeah. That's what I'm saying. 1-2 for the Redskins. Redskins lose this week at the Browns and the last game vs. the Cowboys. Cowboys will be eliminated by that last game but they'll play to destroy the Redskins dreams.

I still think it could be a 2-1 finish for the Bears.

Bears will go into that last week needing a win over the Lions or a Redskins loss to get in. Bears could very well beat the Lions making the Redskins outcome meaningless. But they'll get in either way.

I think we all agree that the Packers game Sunday to wrap up the home schedule at Soldier Field will only add to the misery for the Bears, leaving them to win both games to clinch a Wildcard spot.

As far as the Cardinals & Lions, both road games are very winnable for the Bears. As much as I can't stand the human Macy's Thanksgiving Day float from ESPN, he always reminds us..."This is why they play the games."

Neither Arizona nor Detroit will be in the NFL Playoffs this year, but guess what? They're NFL teams, and anything can happen if the Bears aren't ready to play.

Getting back to that 65%. If the Bears, Cowboys, Vikings and Redskins all lose this week (Very possible), the percentage for the Bears will actually go up. Cuz it will be one more game off the schedule with the Bears still holding the 6th seed. I'll guess it will go to 80% if that happens.

Redskins are not losing to the Browns this week. RG3 will play and continue to keep my fantasy playoff dreams alive by throwing 3 touchdowns and running for 2 more.

He hasn't done that all year. Just sayin'.

In fact, he's never passed for 3 and rushed for 1 in a single game.
More, he hasn't passed for 2 and rushed for 1 in a single game.
Wait there's more.....

Pierre Garcon was all over ESPN yesterday. The Redskins' WR seems to think Kirk Cousins, not Robert Griffin III, will start the Washington roadie @ Cleveland Sunday. Even with Cousins at QB, I think the Redskins win that game.
