I mean, it's worse, and against worse competition. But still, completely different.
Who would guess that the only guy that actually gets thrown the ball all game would end up with a lot of yardage especially once the game is out of reach and the other team is ready to be done.

Quote:
Receiver Brandon Marshall's three touchdown receptions brought his total to seven this season. Five of them have come with the Bears holding at least a 17-point lead.

Marshall had a pretty remarkable game today, catching a bunch of bullet passes with defenders hanging all over him. He did miss on an almost perfectly thrown ball in the end zone, though.

Don't you know we're not supposed to care if he catches touchdowns when the game is already in hand?

7 recs for 89 yds so far in the first half for a guy that only catches balls when the game is over.

7 sacks is about 10 behind the league leaders. Peppers is still on the milk carton. Watch him for the entire game. Peppers only plays about 50% of the plays these days. Did you see the long Lynch run? Do you know why that run was possible?

And who really uses the word "dweeb"?

I have no idea what he's talking about.

And yeah, this thread isn't looking like a great idea this season.

I respect Dave's opinion and the advanced stats he's using, but it feels a little personal with Marshall.

Is it? I mean, its perfectly understandable with the history he's had

I think some comparisons to other top receivers and how they match up in these advanced stats would be helpful

He's been a B- at best this year.

I found this on Google. Can you still tell me that Marshall isn't a number one, bad at football, whatever else dumb fucking comment you made.

It's not personal at all. I said at the time that it was a great trade for the Bears simply because the compensation was so low, and I think this season has borne that out. I just think he's a little overrated is all. He's always put up mega volume stats, and that hasn't changed this year (he's 12th in DYAR, which is FO's volume/counting stat). But he's never been efficient on a per-play basis, and that hasn't changed this year either. He's a useful player, and at times a very good one. I just don't think he's elite.

Who is elite? It used to be Larry Fitz and the Johnsons I think.

Just curious, how is he overrated? Meaning, where do you think he is rated and where should he be?

He's an NFL WR.

I'd agree with those three; Fitzgerald is having a really bad year, but that's almost entirely due to the dopes throwing him the ball. I'd probably throw Julio Jones in there too.

Between 10th and 15th.
