Go somewhere that's not Mundelein and eat there. Downtown Libertyville is close by and has some good options. If you are locked into Mundelien though....

What would some of these good options be?

Seriously...I'm from Iowa...

It's been awhile since I moved to the burbs....Firkin is decent....there is a downtown strip along route 21 that you can bar hop a bit if you are into that sort of thing. There is a bar that is located in the middle of a parking lot called the Island which is alot of fun.

You are my moustache hero. Although I do have a love/hate relationship with the mill.

Wildfire is pretty good. If you want beers and burgers anywhere on 21 in Libertyville like
Firkin or Mickey Finn's will work. Even Morgans isn't too bad if you just want a sports
type bar.

Why would you seek the advice of anyone other than me?
:?

Blue 60 sucks now...and is dying. New ownership already.

Park Street Restaurant.
http://www.parkstreetdining.com
Nicer place. Mundelein's finest.

Bill's Pizza is always awesome.

You have many more options in Vernon Hills, Lincolnshire, and Libertyville....just depends on what you want.

Wildfire, Big Bowl, Sullivan's Steak House, Cheesecake Factory, Tsukasa (Hibachi), Friday's, Portillo's, Olive Garden, Chili's, Real Urban BBQ, etc...

Firkin will be packed to the nuts on Saturday night. You'll have to get there before six or prepare to wait an hour.
Their food is o.k. to good, at best, but their beer selection is top notch. Same with all of the places on the Libertyville strip as mentioned above. Mickey Finn's, Morgan's, Casa Bonita, Wimsa, etc...
If you want to walk around a bit and experience the area, downtown Libertyville is your best bet by far.

There is a free parking garage too.

Let me know, and I'll map it out for ya.

Bill's pizza. If I'm eating out not at the family place, it's Bill's pizza.

Can't disagree with any of the advice stated above. That is Doug's backyard.
