That was a great episode for about 45 minutes and then they let him off the hook and started a 24-esque storyline with the kid.

I don't like what happened but I still think they can pull this out.

I think I need to rewatch the last 20 minutes. I was watching this morning at about 2am and I may
have missed a little of what was actually going on. Pretty intense when the interegator put a knife
through Brody's hand. Didn't like the scene with the kids in the car. I knew something bad was
going to happen I just wasn't sure what that was going to be.

I guess if they have Brody still working for Abu Nazir directly under the nose of Carrie and the CIA, that could be pretty awesome. But, I don't think they are going to go that route.

I kind of think they will, especially since he didn't tell them about Roya.

I thought he did. Wasn't that the first name he gave them? Her picture was on the board.

Just checked again. They asked him who might know the plan and he said "Roya Hammad" and then Carrie repeated it in surprise.

Surprised no one has commented on this episode yet. A few weeks ago I wasn't sure I liked where this
show was going but after the Gettysburg scene I am all in.

Great episode as always, what was in that coffin? c4/explosives?....Brody is still holding back, he never came clean about breaking into Estes' safe in his office.

Yeah I figured either a dirty bomb or explosives of some sort. I just didn't see that coming. Brody has to still
be holding back, he is a complex character to figure out.

Gotta think that whoever gave the code to the woman is an inside man at the CIA and has already told her that Brody was flipped.

Pretty good episode this past weekend. Interesting that the big guy is in the USA to oversee the
operation ( whatever that is ). I get the funny feeling they want to kill the vice president but
that is probably too obvious. Plus, why would they just go for him?

I think whatever they have planned has to be VP related as that is the guy they blame for killing his son.

I predict that they want Brody involved, not so much to do anything, but so that he's in line of succession. So, my prediction for the end of the season is that they are successful in killing the VP but then Brody becomes the frontrunner to be the new Prez - somehow the VP killing won't be Brody's fault or he will have given them the info to stop it and they couldn't. They'll have to figure out some way for the CIA to not take Brody into custody at that point.

Your theory makes sense. Not sure how many episodes are left, maybe 2 or 3.

Why is page 1 of this thread just Terry's Peeps talking to himself?

Started watching this Saturday night. After five episodes, I'm thoroughly impressed. We added Showtime, so I'm sure I will be current within a week or so. Looking forward to reading this thread at that point. Ignoring it until then.

This was a pretty darn good episode. I am assuming they took the reporter into custody. Maybe this whole
thing was just diversion while they work on something else. I still think the VP could seriously be in play, maybe
his whole family. Brody's wife surprised me a bit by screwing Mike with her kids in the other room. She has a
nice little body for an older woman. Only 2 episodes left.

Edit... I guess she is only 33 years old. Definitely seems to be playing someone a bit older, maybe because
Damian Lewis is 41.

Brody is about to die. There's nowhere for him to go now. They've set up his family to move on with Mike. Jess doesn't feel guilty and Dana is done with Finn. Those stories are over. Homeland is almost done with the Brody family.

Better than Breaking Bad? My wife thinks so. Claire Danes acts her ass off in this series. Remember when Sopranos was "the best show on TV" according to a lot of so called experts but a lot of the episodes were stupid or nothing happened in 60 mins. This show is an emotional roller coaster every week. Even the interrogation episode was intense. Its the first show I make time to watch live in years. No one will not like this show.

And yes, Brodie's gotta go. But they've tricked me before on this show. It seems as if it should be predictable but its so far from it. Why the fuck would Carrie go back in the warehouse after Nazir let her go? I'm yelling at the TV "OH SHIT! She's gonna go back after Nazir! You crazy bitch!" Who does that? Carrie is a whacko and SHE does that. Great writing. I only expect another season or two. They really cant go very far with this. Can they?

Good show. Hard to make things work after last year and yes Brody should die and keep Carrie
on another case and reboot the series. No idea what will happen Sunday.

Too much foreshadowing of Brody's death - they're not going to kill him. They just want us to think that.

He'll escape somewhere or fake his own death or something and that leaves open the possibility that he could return down the road if the movie career doesn't pan out.

I thought this season got a little too "24"-ish but I used to love 24 so I don't mind too much. But, not as good as last season.

Since when is "acting your ass off" just crying and sobbing for ten minutes each episode? I loved the first season, but the last few episodes have been really stretching it. And your wife is insane to think this show is better than BB. No way in hell.

The explosion was cool, but the everything before that was a snoozefest.

The biggest question I have is if Brody is off the show or not? Is he going to be a part of season 3, or will he always "be on the run?"

I think he'll be off the show until next season finale when he's revealed to be the new "big bad".
