Bleeding heart liberals disgust me. #Truth

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, an "A" rated member of the NRA, on Monday questioned the availability of assault weapons and suggested Friday's shooting in Newtown, Conn. has opened up the issue for debate.

Manchin said past debates about assault weapons have been shut down over a fear of destroying Second Amendment rights. But the senator said last Friday's shooting changed all that. "The massacre of so many innocent children has changed—has changed America. We've never seen this happen," Manchin said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

Manchin issued criticism of assault weapons, saying, "I don't know anyone in the sporting or hunting arena that goes out with an assault rifle. I don't know anybody that needs 30 rounds in a clip to go hunting. I mean, these are things that need to be talked about."

Manchin, who received an endorsement from the NRA's Political Victory Fund for his 2012 re-election race, is one of the most prominent gun rights advocates in the Senate to speak about assault weapons in the wake of the shooting.

The senator famously and literally shot a hole in the president's "cap and trade" climate bill in a 2010 special election campaign ad aired during his first election to Congress.

Wow, all my other posts dealing with the underlying causes and effects you all ignore, this a response to other posts get a response, cool. Good to know you all are willing to have a debate, but as usual only when it is on your terms
So tell me Peeps, what are your responses to my other posts about what is the real problem, not guns but how we are as a society. Religion has a very real place in this conversation. All the major religions tell us to honor life and help our fellows, yet in this modern society we are to preoccupied with material things and what is in it for us. I mean look at all the bullshit flung at me when I let the board know I ring bells for the Salvation Army. Or that people on here in a thread commented that they only give to the Kettles when the weather is bad otherwise they don't. The far right gets grief because they want to put Christian values back into our lives. Guess what if you look at all
of the documents of our founding they are based on Christian value. Like it or not.

Do you mean the same Christian values, and moral compass that cannot prevent you from doing the following?

-Threatening physical harm to IMU
-Threatening to sexually assault Lady Nas
-Threatening physical harm to me
-Threatening the destruction of private property (keying IMU's car)
-Selling stolen goods

Separation of church and state is a good thing. We do not want a National Church like Iran,Iraq or Nazi Germany.
Read the entire 1st and understand what it says. It says
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
So according to the Amendment as written I should be able to pray in school but rulings passed by not allowing in school prayer the judicial branch says no. So they are restricting 1st Amendment rights. Why do they allow muslim kids to wear traditional gear in schools but make others who wear proChristian shirts to take them off or reverse them? Seems they are not following the Amendment as written.
I love when people bring up the Separation of Church and State argument and have no clue what it is about.

Then why are you so up in arms when Muslims want to build a house of worship?

He means those rights apply only to good Christians, like him. People that threaten physical harm on others, and sell stolen wares.

So current speculation is the mother was a "prepper", preparing for the end of civilization and I can only assume some Road Warrior-like scenario. Wonder if this will end up being the kid's motivation, having some bigger motive to start the end times. *IF* this is the case, it just continues to support my belief that all this fear being encited by the media, politicians, mayan calendar followers, etc., are just leading the culture further and further into a state of fear, increasing stress, anxiety, obesity, gun purchases, etc...

I don't want to make this into a conspiracy theory type of thing, its really demeaning and offensive to a lot of good people. I just think sometimes we don't realize the cause of something until we are far down the road with the effect.

I'm not saying it as a conspiracy theory. I don't think the government had anything to do with this situation. I'm just stating the facts that people allow fear to dictate their lives. One of the reason for the millions of laws in this country is reaction to common fears.

The Mayan calendar followers are yet another example of people who will believe anything even after its already been factually debunked. How that story keeps getting perpetuated is really beyond me. It's just as false as saying the American calendar predicts the end of the world this Friday.

Part of the problem is that it continues to be perpetuated, much like the Y2K bug. As you said, people won't change their minds. People are just generally... dumb.

I would envision Sini being in extreme physical and mental pain trying to push the submit button on a one-line post.

Some, including me, believe the current incarnation of the education system actually goes against God.

...what the hell do you mean?

Its mostly in the original version of Cain and Abel (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?se ... ersion=NIV). Cain was a tiller of the soil, part of the growing agricultural revolution at that time, the same that continues today. Abel was a shepard. Abel's gift to God of his sacrificial lamb was accepted, Cain's gift was considered sin. We all know what happens next to Abel. There are scholars that believe the story was actually originated as war propaganda by the Sumerians who were herders that took witness to the incredible expansion of farming where farmers took their land by force. Today, the purpose of our schools is to train our children so that they can take part in the same dance that Cain danced many thousands of years ago. As such, by taking part in this, we are in a sense sinning against God's wishes that we are shepards of the land. In fact, we have pretty much wiped Abel off the globe, with the exception of some remote tribes in Africa or somewhere.

NOW, I love technology and everything else that has come out of the agricultural and industrial revolution, so I certainly don't mind a little sin here and there. After all, Jesus said I just have to go to a priest once a week so I can wash my sins away. I'm a big fan of that guy.

Story just came out that a neighbor is claiming the mother was going to commit him to a mental hospital and he went bat shit because of it. If this is the case, which I question to be true, you would think he would have had other outbursts in the past and she would have had those guns locked up and a lot less accessible.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/18/fear-being-committed-may-have-caused-connecticut-madman-to-snap/

More and more I hate this guy, but the more and more I have to wonder if the father knew much more than he said about the kid and ex-wife.

Do we know for sure that they weren't locked up?

Where and when was the mother killed? Did the guy kill her, take the key and get the guns? What happened?

I don't think it is. Sini wouldn't quote obscure Rolling Stones lyrics, I don't think. FreeDumb started out as a lampoon of MartyFeldman, CPGuy, etc. until liberals started substantively arguing with him. Then he probably figured it was more entertaining to fuck with those guys than his original target. I don't disagree.

The response that the person gives in that Twitter post is hilarious, but I think he is just as terrible of a person as the reporter. His whole original post is just starving for attention when he knows none of the facts himself.

I read it as: Hey Look at me!! I have a friend who lives 1o minutes away from the shooting, and he's not picking up his phone right now. Send me your sympathy thoughts because his daughter might be shot, or he might just be out running errands and doesn't want to pick up his phone.

He doesn't even know if the kid went to that school and he doesn't know anything. Why post that to Twitter?

True. I can't really fault the reporter in that situation. That "Art" guy was obviously fishing for some sort of response and then when he gets one, he responds with that? Get that weak shit out of here.
