He just yelled repeatedly that no coach has ever won his first SB after coaching 8 seasons in the NFL.

Dick Vermeil, moron.

OK, so only like ten coaches have done it.

Wasn't listening, but depending on how he said it, he's close on. Vermeil, Shula, Landry and Cowher all lost their first SB appearances.

But that's a completely different argument. The context was that Lovie won't win a SB because it would be unprecedented. Lovie already lost one too. There's multiple precedents.

Further basis for why I listen less and less each day. Controlling "precedents" in sports/sanctimony about baseball (SABR) numbers/meathead Bear fans(hosts)/the morning shows. Ugh.

Christ but that Cutler song by Mac was not only musically awful, but completely idiotic.

Holy shit, this follow-up Hester song by Spiegs is almost as embarrassing.

The producers corrected him within a minute or two. He said something like, sorry I saw it from a source I trusted and went with it.

I'm guessing he doesn't realize that doesn't make it better. It just reinforces the perception that he's lazy and lacks a broad knowledge base on sports. When he said that an immediate red flag popped up in my mind and it took me less than a minute to prove it false. His reaction should've been the same, especially since he decided to repeat it to the entire city of Chicago.

He did give an excellent tutorial on throat singing and how to mask the effects of age on the singing voice last week.

I missed what he said, but as soon as I read this thread I thought of Cowher. I'm surprised at some of the other names mentioned.

This reminds me of the time his dumb ass didn't know that Samardzija played WR for Notre Dame.

Just another way Mac can vent his flawed Cutler angst.
Here's what I don't understand about the Cutler hate. Mac isn't a fan of Matt Forte, Kellen Davis or Devin Hester as a wide receiver; he vented in anger over the Bears' reluctance to spend an early draft pick on a OL, he doesn't respect Lovie as a coach or Tice (Chumley) as an OC. But his lyric suggest the Cutler faithful are human-excuse machines. Which is it Dan. Cutler has the pieces in place and he doesn't produce or the pieces aren't in place so Cutler needs to be cut some slack.

Clever shot at B&B there. Spiegel can be fairly witty sometimes.
