The fact that Lovie's offenses have prevented this team from being SB contenders every year has frustrated the hell out of me but why would you fire a top 10 to 15 coach to replace him with unknowns or coaches that have failed several times? The Bears are in the hunt for the playoffs every year. There was a time not long ago where that wasn't true.

I'm just tired of his in game decisions and lack of adjustments. He has a plan and if anything slightly throws him off of it the wheels come flying off and the team is lost. Maybe that is the coordinators fault but he is the guy in charge and the guy who brought this collection of asshole coaches to town.

I want a team that can win a Super Bowl, not a team that finishes between 7-9 and 9-7 every season and hope to squeak into the playoffs and get lucky.

Lovie is bad.
The team does not respect him.
B Marsh came to the Bears because of Cutler.

Not true. People don't calculate acts that make them appear worse & more dis-likable than they really are. It always goes the other way...the guy is really a prick but puts on a happy face in public.

It is never wise to reveal ones sources. One of the guys is heard on the Score frequently.

In other words, its the same source that Panther had about Cutler's career ending injury.

Figured.

I'm pretty confident that Lovie is a churchgoing, never-swearing Good Guy who nevertheless raises his voice behind closed doors. I'm also pretty confident that as a football man, he's arrogant, insecure, and stubborn. I feel like he treats people with respect as long as they're not his co-workers.

Churchgoing, insecure, arrogant, and stubborn go hand in hand.

This is a disgusting post, DB. :?

Why has it gotten to the point where insulting another's religious preference is not on par with racist talk? Isn't that a similarly touchy subject? The Federal Government still thinks so, so why don't we?

I was going to eyeroll DB's post, but I didn't want it to become another one of those threads so I just left it alone.

It is a convenient excuse. Obviously it would have to be taken on a case by base basis but wars of religion are usually based in other interests with religion being used as the easy explanation for the masses.

No-better to allow him to finish the season. They still have a shot at the playoffs (they win out, they're in) and to some people, hell a lot of people, thats important. Forget the team is 2-6 vs teams with a winning record and the playoff berth seems important.....anyway, better to fire him after they either a) miss the playoffs or b) lose in the first round. There are plenty of reasons to fire Lovie, but trying to install a new offense/defense at this point would be crazy.

Jay Cutler knows how to throw the football. Okay, and a quarterback is able to take that football up into the air into the hands of the reciever as he's running down the field, really that'll help this team score a touchdown, and that's what this game's all about.

Chicago is an excellent, excellent football team. But the Cardinals have a great football team too. My prediction is that whoever puts the the ball in the end zone more times than the other team will probably win tonight's football game.

I wish people understood this better. This is it. This is the key.

People shouldn't do bad things because they are wrong. Not because they are afraid of punishment or hell or god, or whatever your religion says. If it takes a god for you to understand killing people is wrong, I don't think you're actually a moral person. You're being coerced.

This is not to say you cannot be moral AND believe in god, fwiw.
