With regard to "the customer is always right," I do have to agree that this mantra gets taken too far sometimes. I mean, I saw so much of it in radio sales. You get these small-business asshats who insist upon their own terribly written copy and woefully inefficient schedules -- remotes, for instance. And so when I would suggest what their spots should say, or the rep would suggest where their spots should run, it was almost always the same thing, or a variation thereof: "In business, the customer is always right, and I'm the customer." No. When you choose to do business with a marketing operation such as a radio station, it is implicit--or should be--that you are deferring to specialists. It's like going to the doctor and demanding that they give you antibiotics for your sprained ankle because you have it in your mind that when you go to the doctor, you get antibiotics, and that makes everything okay. It's probably the same idiots, too.

So Chicago fans are among the most forgiving, but they spit hateful invective from above the Bears' locker room tunnel? And there's nothing wrong with fans booing, yet they've spent three days now lovingly nursing Urlacher's bruised ego from being booed? What a pretzel of dumb.

And the worst part is that all this is just distracting from the fact that the Bears are shitting down their legs on multiple organizational levels and redirecting that away from the players and front office and on people who just like a fucking sports team.
