I love most of what you do here, but much like the way you feel about my homoeroticism bit, I'll never understand your Laurence bit.

But its not 100% bit.

I do really enjoy the show.

Its like 50/50

I guess it IS kinda like your gay thing

Led Zeppelin had quite a few classic albums. Zep II is the one that contains the closing theme for the Mac show. You'll hear that in mere moments after the legal ID and Connor McKnight's final "Scoreboard Update" of the day with Mac & Spiegs.

Oh, I can't stand II. I always thought it was the weak link of the first four, and now that I can't listen to it all the way through without getting to "Moby Dick" and feeling the urge to thank Nick Shepkowski, I've pretty much put it away forever. I heard "Whole Lotta Love" on the Loop enough to get me through the rest of my life.

Come ON!!!

2 is fucking awesome. I could make a case for it being the best rock album ever. I wont, but I could.

completely agree. Best version? On The Song Remains the Same. Re-watched that about a thousand times...

No! "Heartbreaker" and "Living Loving Maid" are overplayed and boring. "Moby Dick" is just drumwank. I just find it so underwhelming.

III, though, I don't think there's a track I don't like, and most of them, I love. You've got "Immigrant Song," official Favorite Led Zeppelin Song Of Girls "Tangerine," the awesome "Since I've Been Loving You," and the fun "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp."

III > untitled > I > II.

I love Zeppelin, but the Song Remains The Same is so fun bad. Their little vignettes were so stupid. They'd go from Jimmy and all this occult and wizardry crap, to Bonham pouring a patio. I love self indulgent rock stars!

I didn't mean the album. I meant the song. I love LZI the best. Rocks pretty much from start to finish, still hungry and playing their best concert stuff.

I>IV>III>II

that's what the FF button is for.

I'll say this, their West was Won DVD has a great mini-concert from Denmark in black and white. Great music and some of Robert's best singing live before his voice started to go.

I was addressing Rogers Park Bryan's defense of the Brown Bomber (no, not the guy with the sock full of shit on the Blue Line!).

Led Zeppelin I is awesome, yeah. Dazed and Confused/Your Time Is Gonna Come/Black Mountain Side is a 1-2-3 punch of awesome. Weird that I am thoroughly burned out on "Whole Lotta Love" but maintain my love for the similarly over-Looped "Dazed and Confused." ah well.

There's a real gem on the 1990 Led Zeppelin box set. It's called "Traveling Riverside Blues". A cool song that I don't think you can find on any other CD.

Ooh, good call! I think there were some early CD reissues of Coda that added that track, among others, but it may not be on there anymore. Who would buy Coda, anyway?

720 used to use "Traveling Riverside Blues" coming out of breaks in Cubs games and I could never place it until I went on some Zeppelin rarity download spree.

EDIT: "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" and "White Summer" were the other bonus tracks

To be honest, their albums all kind of blend together for me.

Ive had enough of IV though.

It's on their BBC Sessions album.

Thanks for the clarification. :salut: For the longest time, the box set was the only place to find that track other than MTV...when they were actually playing music videos.

Look, I'm ready to take my lumps on this, but "Fool in the Rain" is a good song, dammit (Doug), and I don't care what you think.

Tangerine is like the stones version of she's a rainbow, or the deads scarlet. Begonias...it transcends gender.

Now, I'm not saying that males cannot appreciate "Tangerine." I'm just saying, anecdotally, of course, that if you ask a girl what her favorite Zeppelin song is, you will get one of two answers. If she doesn't like Led Zeppelin, she'll say "Stairway to Heaven." If she has a brother who likes Led Zeppelin, "Tangerine."

I have a 45 of "The Immigrant Song" with "Hey, Hey What Can I Do?" on the B-Side, which is perfect for when I have friends over to listen to records who hate immigrants.

Ok that makes sense...fool in the rain is great...the only Sep song that has been beaten. Into the ground and still is good....along with stairway to heaven.

I know quite a few girls who would say D'yer Mak'er. And they would be wrong. Tangerine is a legitmately great song.
