I've never been there, but a relative of mine had an Alaskan donut a couple weeks ago. For the donut connoisseurs here, how does Huck Finn compare to the chains and local places like Home Cut donuts in Joliet?

Donuts are good. Not great, but good.
The restaurants overall are the most overrated eateries outside of Chipotle in the Chicago area.

Basically, it's diner food. My grandparents used to go there all the time, many times taking us grandkids. Franklin, I didn't even know that Huck Finn's was ranked?

BTW: Chipotle is awesome. Not all burritos need to have flaming hot Fritos in them.

Huck Finn SUCKS - food is terrible and the service is even worse.

If your on the south side the best breakfast place is Stacked in Oak Lawn. It's always packed in there unless you are in by 8:30 am on weekends.

That sounds like a good name for a Hooters-like establishment.

What sort of person is going around overrating Chipotle?

Huck Finn's used to be good, not any more. The Donuts are cake based and unlike Duncan will last more than 12 hours before going stale.
