So does the new coach keep Cutler?

Why isn't Pastor Dungy a candidate?

Hello friends, and welcome back to our Spring Training broadcast of White Sox baseball. We're not sure who exactly is on the mound right now for the Sox, but he's wearing #90, so that should tell you something. #90 is Julius Peppers's number on the Bears. Lovie Smith, no longer with the Bears. I'm sure the people there will miss him. Strike one to the Rockies outfielder Shane Smith, who is 0-1 today. I saw my friend Tony Dungy this offseason and asked him how Lovie was doing, and he said fine. I wasn't really convinced, but Dungy kept saying fine. We're told now that #90 is Spencer Arroyo out of Modesto, CA. Arroyo throws an offspeed pitch in the dirt. Modesto is up there in California, near silicon valley. Little bit west of San Jose, but about an hour south of Sacremento. Yeah. 1-1 is fouled back over the Sox dugout, 1-2 now. So Dungy, wouldn't give any insight as to how Lovie Smith took his departure from the Bears. Thought I doubt he was real happy about it. Doesn't matter to me, because I don't care about football and LA doesn't have an NFL team. Neither does Modesto, Arroyo's hometown, and he deals the 1-2 pitch..

Cutler is not mobile enough to run the read option and the line can't run block for shit anyway. I do think Cutler needs to be in a mobile pocket with a lot of quick slants. He can pick up yards with his legs, but he doesn't have the burst of an RG3 or Russel Wilson. Move the pocket, throw some slants and draft heavy for RB's to replace Matt "Tiny Dancer" Forte.

Here's about every possible name you could imagine and some you've never heard of.

And I hope the Kirk Ferentz suggestion is some sort of joke. I'm sure Hawkeye fans would drive him to the airport.

I've made it halfway through that list and I'm laughing my ass off. Any of those hires would be fantastic.

Adam Schefter's twitter- "Arizona and Chicago have asked for and received permission to interview Broncos OC Mike McCoy for their HC job. Will interview this weekend."

And Pompei can scratch McDaniels from his list of 71 candidates. He's staying in NE.

It's because every player who has been here for a while knows that they are in trouble too.

I bet DJ Moore isn't so upset.

Yea...no shit. Camp Lovie is over. There may be some guys who have to play for their job next year. Too fucking bad. This reaction tells me this was the right move and maybe should have been made before now.

And someone inform Scorehead as he said everyone was tired of Lovie.

Why is Ferentz a joke? Just because Iowa struggled this year does not mean he isn't a good coach.

He seemed to be college Lovie this year, standing idly by while the offense went down the shitter. I'd be very surprised if he got an NFL job. He was the hot name a few years ago but that ship may have sailed.

#Bears expected to interview Bucs O-C Mike Sullivan, league source tells me. Sullivan earned rep working w/ Eli Manning

Oh hell no.....you missed my point. I'm not a fire and pashun guy. It's just he seems to be more of a coordinator not a head coach. He wants to focus on his side of the ball and if the other side of the ball suffers, it's not my problem.

So, the Bears bring in a new, energetic young coach. Draft some O line help (C to move Garza back to RG, etc.) trade for more OL help. Maybe grab some D Backs in the draft as well. New guy promises Hester never sees the field on Offense, some other late-rounder plays well as #2WR. Oh, yeah. they get a TE who can catch the f'n ball. A couple of the coordinators stay (Tobe, Marinelli) cause its easier to stay than up and move. Would we expect less from the Bears than we did at the start of this year? Is there any reason they could not start 7-1 again and lead us to all plan a SB road trip to New York with BIGFAN?

It was an interesting listen today as Cutler heard it for real while on with Silvy and Waddle. Like JD said, and Urlacher also, it's like nobody on the team really thought it would happen.

If we can't start hitting on lineman in the early rounds of the draft, it will not matter who the new coach is.

Someone also called and said maybe buddy ryan? Considering he's dead, I'll assume he meant Rex or Rob.

Is it me or does this board have a habit of prematurely declaring people to be dead? It's like George Ofman lives within us all.

Yeah, if we replace the entire team next year with an awesome set of 58 draft picks we might just have a chance.
