There's no wrong answer between Hub, Harry, and Leery.

Bruce Levine and Hub for me. Can't stand either of them. I don't love Tiny, but I can listen to him. Can't listen to the other two.

There are not enough options on this poll. Maybe we need a tournament to figure this out.

i hate to say it cuz in many ways it's not fair, but technically it's steven berger. yeah, he's obviously a guy plucked out of the audience and given a graveyard shift in the middle of nowhere (it's always struck me as odd that they'll have joe O and connor on til 11 or 12am, then go to an hour or two of yahoo, then steven berger, then more yahoo (albeit yahoo's best show: the travis rodgers show) -- why not build a local bridge to steven, let him do some crosstalk with them, build up his confidence and make it feel like he's a part of the normal day of scheduling as opposed to being an oasis in the middle of filler.... what are you trying to tell him?) so it's like he's almost been set up to fail/fade-away from the getgo cuz technically his whole thing @ the station is just a publicity stunt... BUT THAT SAID, technically speaking, he's the worst host in chicago.

he just isn't as comfortable on the air as all of the other guys listed there.... i mean, you can invoke the name of harry teinowitz all you want, like him or hate him, but if you listen to him drive a show on fantasy football island he technically handles it just fine. people like terry boers aren't show-drivers as much as they're "zany sidekicks" or whatever.... and even tho the board generally dislikes laurence, it's not cuz he's awful at radio, it's because he's laurence.

steven's gotten noticeably better since he's started, so next time i'm up between 1-3 on a saturday i'll gave to give him another gander... but like, early on some of those segments were just really uncomfortable... i felt so bad for him when he was nervously tossing out conventional phrases like "live" and/or "on the score" and stuff.... it reminds me of when you're freestyle rapping and you're proverbially gasping for air/ideas and you go to your lyrical clutch like saying "on the microphone" or something... you know, you're all flustered and strained for ideas in the throes of improvisation so you reach for something banal and generic to say in order to keep your cadence flowing forward and the words a-pumpin' --- there was noticeably a bunch of that going on during early BERGERTIME!!!!11

so yeah, while i don't think he's gonna win this poll because there could be a very compelling argument that he shouldn't count cuz he isn't a "bonafide" </obrotherwhereartthou> "radio professional" like everyone else on this list, in terms of the definition given to me. here, yeah, lamentably, it's steven berger.

so it's basically larry versus harry... early money's on harry as he's out to an 8-5 lead... who y'all got winning this?

i think there's enough of a laurence ALS to give it to harry. people here don't like to admit that they're laurence ALS, but suffice to say that when someone calls him up and says "hey larry" there will always be a next caller to start off with "I'M HATIN ON THAT GUY CALLING YOU LARRY" -- feed the beast just in case you ever run into him in an elevator. be smart.

Went with Bernstein because he's the only guy that makes me actively turn off the station. Everyone else's level of bad is tolerable, but when he's Bernsying it up it isn't even worth listening too.

Every regular daytime host on that list could drive a show (even if poorly) except Terry Boers.

People may have axes to grind with Larry and Harry. Okay, those guys are who they are. But there is really only one answer on that poll: Joe O.

No way do I wanna hear a show driven by Larry, Harry, or Hub over Boers. If anything Boers would be semi-funbad and the other three are just fucking awful any way you slice it.

WJOL 1340- did get to hear the smooth tones of Moose Vasko calling a b-ball game on Sunday.

Then maybe, probably not, AM1000.

I like TB more than the other three. I would rather have a beer with him. Laurence is an insecure loser douche. Hub is unjustifiably arrogant. Teinowitz is a joke. But despite these prejudices, two of them could easily drive better than TB. He would be fun bad for five minutes until we actually needed sports thoughts. Then it would just be bad bad.

so about this poll, which one is the rambling, incoherent screamer, Doug or O'B? OH, that's right!

The worst of the worst...Harry Teinowitz.

He's not funny. He's also not very good. Let Carmen DeFalco & John Jurkovic host afternoon drive as a two-man, not a three-man ESPN Radio!

Loho and Hub are the worst of the worst. Mulligan is close, but not quite as bad (That doesn't mean he is good, bigfan). There are other bad ones (ZZ, Harry, etc), but by far the worst is either Loho or Hub.
