Boozer & Deng were the two guys you would hope to take up the offensive slack. Everyone else that is left is just supporting players.

Unfortunately, it was only Deng that came to life offensively in the last 2 games of the Bulls' season, Jimmy.

I've been reading that Toronto is looking to unload Andrea Bargnani, and is not looking for much in return. How about sending Boozer up north, and taking Bargnani in return? I know both contracts are bad, but Bargnani's comes off the books after next season, along with Deng's, so that would give the Bulls a ton of cap space after that year, along with the Charlotte pick, plus the incoming arrival of Nikola Mirotic. Make it happen, GarPax!!

But why would Toronto do that? Im sure they can at least get an expiring contract for Bargnani, and I dont see why they would want Boozer at all. I like the idea though. Im all for anything that includes Boozer leaving Chicago.

They view him as a cancer that they will unload for almost anything now.

I'm never been high on the guy, but this team needs someone who can get a shot once in awhile. And I would love to clear a ton of cap space to pair with Deng coming off the books after next season.

Andrea Bargnani is awful. Makes Boozer look like a HOF lock.

No way. Both suck and have similar weaknesses.

My apologies for Sam Smith'ing up this thread. I just want Boozer gone, and I can't see any scenario with them amnestying him after this season. I'm almost certain he's a lock for being here next season.

But why wouldn't they amnesty him this offseason? It just doesnt make sense competitively. I guess if Jerry wants to save a few bucks it makes sense. They need to replace him with a really good SG. Unfortunately there seems to be somwhat of a dearth of talent at the 2 guard spot in the league right now. I still want them to make a run at Kevin Martin, which they cant do with Boozer still on the roster.

I'm certainly not a huge Boozer guy by any means, but I'd rather see them amnesty him than trade him and take on Andrea.

Me too.

But I'd rather them trade Boozer for Bargnani than keep Boozer next season.

It could be this year's version of the Ben Wallace/Larry Hughes "Our overpaid trash for your overpaid trash" trade.

Boozer earned it. He has played very well this year...2013. His defense has even improved. He isn't real good at D, buy he is not quite the olay guy he had been. If he can continue to play at or close to this level, I cannot see a trade that makes sense, or an amnesty scenario where the team gets better. I am open to Sam Smith style options though Douchebag. Toss em around if you got em.

Boozer doesn't have to be a real strong defender, but he does need to at least try a little. The Bulls need his offense as they just can't put up enough points if they're not getting anything from him.

He's been doing that.

I'd still trade him for Pau straight up if that was actually on the table, especially if they aren't willing to amnesty him this summer.

Agreed. Right now Pau's stock couldn't be any lower, and the Lakers might be willing to gamble.

Probably about 6 years late to the game, but I found this story funny.

Trade his ass to the Raptor, he might look good in purple...
