Interviewing CFL coaches is just part of the plan. And what a plan it is. Synergy. Synergy. Syn-er-gy. Syn-er-gy. Syn-er-gy.

In other news, Dan wrote a Concept Column about how Lance Armstrong is a piece of crap: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2013/01/06/ ... armstrong/ No comments from me. Much like a customer at Troy Aikman's Wing Stop, I'm gonna leave this to the experts.

Also, hockey is back. That means eyes will be rolled and tones will be hushed as we talk about how you know what this means: oh dear lord, heavens to Betsy, it's The Hockey People, back out from underneath their atavistic, tribalist holes in the ground, with three months of repressed white supremacism ready to unleash on the principled and noble pluralists who just want basketball and hockey to co-exist as long as people know basketball is better. Except these Hockey People aren't in rabbit holes but out in cornfields.

Also, that New Radicals album I dropped in the title is really awesome. It's a sunny day, go listen to it!

I assume it's probably racist to notice on Friday that in a bar of a couple hundred people only 2 were watching the Bulls and Heat.

My normal neighborhood bar is incredibly racist, and they had the Bulls/Heat game on every TV. I was shocked.

Lance Armstrong a piece of crap? Not exactly breaking news, especially if you follow this stupid show.

Jerry Reinsdorf just made the Basketball Hall of Fame. It's time for Bernstein and the Score to celebrate a life. More than usual, I mean!

whoa SNAP... that's some serious ATTITUDE and BITE. aren't you reporters supposed to be impartial observers of the passing scene?

i heard a caller to Les last night point out that he thought Emery was ducking questions by doing his little post-presser interview with some schmuck @ WBBM, thus making it easier to win that interview. Les quickly and swiftly cut him down and corrected him that it WASN'T ducking because they're sister stations and whatever Emery says is going to end up on WSCR anyways...

...huh?

Long story short, observe your talking point/s: PHIL EMERY IS I.N CHARGE. HE'S WINNING THE MEDIA, YOUR HEART SOUL AND MIND, AND THE COACHING HIRE. THIS IS NOT THE HANDIWORK OF A 90 YEAR OLD WOMAN. FUCK LANCE ARMSTRONG

It's beyond 670 The SCORE's control. It's a CORPORATE issue in New York.

Well, the Bulls have won 6 of the last 8 REGULAR season matchups with the Heat...For what that's worth.

But they are 0-4 in their last 4 playoff games, which is all that matters

You're lucky I didnt give you the family feud wrong answer buzzer, SHARK

Is Dan applauding a team for playing hard for a bye when he's also ripped on teams that play hard down the stretch when they're already in the playoffs?

You like that "Feud" buzzer, huh? Anyway, you are correct about the Bulls' lack of NBA Playoff success since Derrick Martell Rose tore his ACL. That being said, all I want for this Bulls' team is to simply win their first round Playoff series. That can't be that hard...Right?

I'll need some context here as I didn't hear what he said, but I'd argue there is a difference between the Falcons playing their starters for an entire game when they already have a bye wrapped up and a team like the Packers playing for a bye and a home game against the 49ers.

What? A QB is likely to go #1, and will certainly go in the top 5.

Geno Smith is projected to go top 5 with many sites having him at #1.

I wouldn't take him #1 though but the Chiefs are desperate.

Well, Id think they dismissed him as a Tedford guy that cant win in the NFL (Like me) but Im thinking they probably favored the pick just to troll Bear fans

Geno Smith...WOW! Hard to believe, he was actually mentioned in the same breath as the Heisman before Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel ended up winning the award last month.

I missed greatly on Rodgers too, but that is the point. If you need a QB, you draft a QB and cross your fingers. Even the smartest people in the game passed on Rodgers. Draft him and hope. If he fails, get another in 2 or 3 years.

Cosigned. Near the end of the Favre era I used to joke with my packers friends that my retirement plan was to sell statues of aaron rodgers to wisconsonites. Nowadays they love to ask me where their statue is =D
