I enjoyed Gottlieb's Sports Minute on the pros and cons of buying a Jaguar.

He mentioned a Jaguar in the same breath with RGIII last hour. Huh?

They're pissing because it's a REGULAR season win. Even I didn't get too excited about the Bulls' win Friday night in Miami.

As a result, the Heat are said to be looking at bigman Chris "Birdman" Andersen, most recently with the Nuggets, I believe.

Why watch the games then? Seriously, you don't get excited when your team wins? This is why I don't listen- people pissing on my parade!

I believe he was trying to relate Jaguar's traditional maintenance issues with running QBs also not being reliable.

Agreed. I'm tuning over to Gary Miller.

The one about the NFL playoffs was a good one. Twelve is a perfect number, except when it's eleven, but twelve in Canadian football, but twelve for NFL playoffs. Goodness.

Is drinky's new 5 Hour Energy spot a real commercial or another parody of the Sports Minutes? I can't really tell anymore.

Last week on the show, Hub, in response to the reports that Chip Kelly was close to a deal with Cleveland, did his stupid giggle and said that a deal with the Browns had been in place for months. Hopefully, he'll be asked about that on Tuesday or Wednesday.....

I hope someone calls Hub out on his proclamation of about 5 weeks ago when he told these two goofs that it was a 99.9% certainty that Gruden was getting back into coaching. As he put it, it's not a matter of "if" but "where". This was when he "broke" the news that Gruden interviewed with Oakland.

Latest reports say Gruden isn't going anywhere and never planned on going anywhere.

They won't. They cover his dumbass. I can't stand that smug fuck. And it's not just that he's just smug, he's smug to cover up for being terrible.

Has Terry retired his by cracky?

EDIT: Lerry is having one of his "fellow adjunct professors" on tonight.

Yeah it's been a rough few weeks for Hub. 2 stories he supposedly had, both blew up in his face. If these 2 don't mention it, someone needs to call in on Wednesday and ask.

Like I said at the time, Hub flat out made that shit up. He's the most unconnected "insider" I've ever heard.

I'm starting to realize how unconnected Hub really is. I don't know how good his reputation used to be - back in the day, but if he had one, that's all he's living on right now. I used to think he was just tired of talking to B&B, which is totally understandable, but his attitude and disconnect is displayed on all the shows. Maybe he's just tired of doing what he's doing.

I'm sure he'll do the Boers/Bernstein thing and say that at the time he reported it, the story was accurate, but since, things changes dramatically....or nobody will actually ask him, and he'll have more wrong inside information for us on the Bears coaching search.

Well, Id think they dismissed him as a Tedford guy that cant win in the NFL (Like me) but Im thinking they probably favored the pick just to troll Bear fans

I don't remember at the time of the draft but I do remember that they referred to him as "Major Suckage" when he was backing up Favre.

I've seen Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel as maybe a 4th round or lower pick if he came out right now.

He's not eligible for the draft so you are looking at shitty mock drafts.

He was OC on a couple of mid-90s 49ers teams. None of those coaches got a fair shake, really.

Trestman was roundly mocked when some people floated him as a possible head coach at Minnesota last year. No, not the Vikings. The Gophers.

Here's a project for one of you enterprising CSFMBers. Hub has never been Mr. Connected but the quality of his inside Bears info has fallen off a cliff since the regime change. There also hasn't been all that much turnover. So figure out who has left in the past year and you'll probably figure out Hub's Bears source.

I actually heard Dan say getting Peyton Manning was a bold move by Elway and a master stroke for real football and he will therefore be rooting for the Broncos to win the Super Bowl. What's so fucking bold about signing one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game to replace a man with the passing skills of a malfunctioning trebuchet?

One of the most underrated albums of the 90s.

I didn't listen to the show today, but had to give a :thumleft: for the title.

That his career may well have been ended by one well-placed hit, for one thing. I mean, yeah, signing Peyton Manning is a pretty self-evident move under normal circumstances, but these weren't those. Really, the whole thing was just a flimsy intellectualization of hating Tim Tebow. Yes, we know, Dan.

Wouldn't you agree that there is a certain amount of risk involved in signing a quarterback who missed a year due to major neck surgery, especially given Peyton Manning's age and the wear and tear on him? It's not like it was a guarantee that Peyton would be good. No one knew how well he would hold up this year.

The actual song's lyrics are unintelligible and replaced in the lyric sheet with a big anti-corporate/consumerist screed. It's not on youtube, though :(, despite being one of the standout tracks on the album in its own weird murky way.
